Re: Big O airboat hulls??? Any info

I'm not sure how old mine is, the only negative comment that I have about it is that the fiberglass (wall and top deck) of the bow storage is really thin; when I stand on it, it bows out and flexes alot more than I would like it to. I don't weigh that much, in my opinion it was just made too thin. I...

Re: polymer help

My dad and I did our own poly out in the yard and it turned out pretty well, obviously better than this.
I feel bad, it's not fair to you or the safety of yourself and others. Hopefully it all gets worked out. If it were me they would damn sure wouldn't forget it lol.

Re: Headers

You got lucky kid! Good work, now remember to listen to the advice and use the Anti-Seize when you put it back together. I have had to use a torch before so getting them off with the secret ATF mix is a great victory for you...Good Job Thanks, that secret mix (I call it strawberry milk) also helped...

Cylinders

Some of you might remember reading some posts of mine where I was asking for help with dumb little things and talking about my locked up 220 GPU, but: I'm here to tell you all that (it wasn't easy) but I got three of the cylinders off, then got the prop to turn a little bit, then got the rest of the...

Headers

Before I accidentaly snap off any studs, does anyone have suggestions for taking off my headers without shearing any bolts in half? Clean removal would be nice and I know it will be a pain.

Re: ATF

When pulling on the prop back and forth it only moves probably 1/8 of an inch, and it's really tight. :banghead: I think my dad is going to help me take as many of the jugs off as we can, I've never torn any motors apart (yet).

Glass hull help

How can I clean up my fiberglass hull that has sun damage and, of course, wont clean up nicely with a pressure cleaner? I have noticed that where some marvel mystery oil has ran down it, it looks like new. Suggestions on anything I can buy to clean it or what not? Any magic potions out there? :stirp...

Where can I buy ATF so I can get my motor unlocked?

Re: Locked Up Engine

Thanks for the suggestions. I forgot to mention I do have a tool that I made that can be used to put some air pressure into the cylinders. It is the threads of a spark plug with an air chuck adaptor welded to it. Works pretty good.

5 blade or wood

previous owner of my 220 used a 72x38 sensenich, I was just considering doing that for the sake of cost, but would a 5 blade or 6 blade be more worth it? :dontknow:

I plan on doing that stuff when I can get it apart,
but if the rings are rusted in the cylinders or something like that then I cant even get the jugs off.

Locked Up Engine

I have a 220GPU that unfortunately has sat for around 10 years, and is locked up. That sounds harsh but it was in Tennessee the whole time so it might not be as severe as 10 years sitting here in FL. Anyways I need to get it unlocked. I'm not in a hurry and don't want to break anything in the proces...
