Re: 7 foot Python caught at Duck camp
Six months after birth a python has no natural enemies. It can and will eat anything it wants. Couple of months ago a Miccosukee game officer showed us a pic of a 14 footer. One that big aint eatin rats.

Re: Three blade H?
Where are you located and what engine are you runnin? I have a three blade H and I love it but would like to try a 2 blade Q. My H is 72 inch and i love it. Really snappy compared to the Q blades I have driven on other boats. I would have to think that the Q has more low end umphh ?

It was pretty dry last weekend. A little water close to the creek and pretty dry after that.

Re: Bad polymer?
I will tomorrow. Problem is i bought 5 sheets almost two years ago. Just finished last boat a few months ago. Had it shipped here from the factory. Put it in shop til we got ready. Noticed funny places as soon as we started takin it off the pallet, just didnt think that much about it. Seems to be wo...

Bad polymer?
Has anyone else ever seen defective sheets of polymer? I bought some sheets that had funny looking blotches in a few places. Kinda looks like maybe its not totally melted? It has "fuzzy" spots in it in places. Didnt think too much about it. Poly ripped off the bottom of the boat on the third run. Th...

Re: Okeechobee Lake clean up and rodeo!!
Seems to me if parts are made for an aircraft engine, they are aircraft parts. No matter who made them. Hell, the first superchargers hot-rodders used came off diesel trucks. Don Garlits probably had tractor parts on the swamp rat, lol. Who cares, as long as it works. Good job, dbell. That thing is ...

Re: Poll on my ls2
We got a WT 550 carbureted for my buddy's sled and it is incredible(pics in my gallery). Turns more prop than most of the big-blocks we run with. Have had problems gettin the carb right but Dave has helped me over the phone and its gettin better. Hint hint, Dave. I think the carbureted is the way to...

Re: to poly or not
I am by no means an expert, but i would seriously consider not putting it on. I have had poly on every boat i have ever owned. We are putting a cottonmouth boat together now and if we didnt already have the poly, i would not put it on. (it has slick bottom on it and rides like a dream) Maybe im just...

Re: 2:1 ratio vs 2.68:1
If you turn your motor, say 5500 just for giggles, with any gear you want the lower gears(2.68) will turn much more prop. Its why we put 5-38s in our trucks. So you can turn 44s with the same engine rpms you had with stock tires, not so you can rev your motor to 10 grand. Thats the easiest way ive fo...

timing on high compression engine
I have a dual mag GPU with domed 470 pistons. Have it timed at 25 before TDC havent heard it ping but it does run oil temps 200- 215 and will go higher if you run it hard. Is this too much advance for this set-up?

Re: Watch out in Lake O
Mood, i agree with you 100 percent(on this topic, lol). Just didnt want to open the can of worms all the way, lol. But it is actually a coast guard law. Its just only enforced on airboats. If i remember correctly( and im sure ill be reminded if I dont) the FAA was very involved with this bill? I per...

Re: Watch out in Lake O
It is actually a law that any watercraft operating in areas of vegetation over 4 feet ( i think its 4 feet) must use a flag. Seems to me it would be better for kayaks and kicker boats who can obviously hear us coming, to have a flag or move out of the way. You might be surprised if you research why ...
