I used to run a 78x32 paddle on a 500 cad and it was great. This prop should work the same. I think I have seen some sensenich props coated like that.

The road is Banana Grove. It is directly across 78 from the entrance to Curry Island. The boat ramp on the west side of Fisheating creek bridge is not really a ramp when the water is down. There is a gate there and it is a long ways to the water right now. Anyones boat should be able to make it unde...

Uncle Joes Fish Camp is in Moore Haven I rode this weekend and the lake is definitely sticky. Still plenty to see though. Fisheating Creek is a good ride when the water is way up but now its follow the leader. There are rocks in places. Not a very fun ride. But if you try it theres a picnic table at...

Thanks Des Moines, I have done everything you said. I have heard 20,25 and 30 degrees though. The problem I'm having is in setting the timing. Probably sounds stupid but I have no idea what a timing buzz box is. Can you elaborate?

need help installing mags!

can someone please tell me the procedure for installing mags in a 470 GPU. I changed cylinders and mags onto a different engine and dont know how to time the mags. Stock 220 block with 470 domed pistons and dual mags if that helps. I can find TDC and I know the gears in the mags are marked, but I ne...

A 470 ci engine is not capable of flowing more than 500 cfm at 3000 rpm. there are several cfm calculators available on the net if you want to check 4secondsflat.com is one.

Chris Rivers is arguably the best gator hunter on the lake. He also does egg and hatchling collection. And not just on the big O. Also a nice guy who will come rescue you at 2am.

I just changed to a 72" 3-blade H series from a 72" 2-blade H-series and the difference is amazing. I can do more at 2500 now than before at 2950. Runs dry much easier, cruises at 1700, stays on plane at 1400 in deep water, and has more water speed if I need it. Very happy with it on my 13...

need prop advice

I am running a high compression, dual mag GPU on a 13x7.5 Alumitech with polymer. I currently have a74" 2 blade narrow Sensenich. I am going to change props tying to get more push. I would like some opinions on whether I should buy two Q-series blades(keep my hub), or I have a chance to buy a 7...

I am running 12 discs(4 inch) on my high compression, dual mag GPU with no change in rpm. At idle the loudest noise is mags clicking. Prop takes over above 1000 rpm though. Supertrapp advertises that these mufflers are also certified flame arrestors.

Larry, How many degrees BTDC are you supposed to time a dual-mag GPU? Thanks, Jonesboy

I run the disc only mufflers on my GPU and like Harvey my engine is quiet but the prop is loud over 2000 rpm. I am using 12 discs. I run a narrow two blade sensenich now but I am going to try a friend's wide blades this weekend and I hope it will be a little quieter yet.

I used the 120 degree heat shields on my Supertrapp mufflers and they direct the exhaust toward the prop wash. I don't know how much of a difference it makes though. I do know it is much quieter at idle which is great around houses and boat ramps.

When the water is up, Fisheating Creek is a nice ride with plenty of oak trees to stop under. Also lots of game to see and good fishing. You need a free Airboat permit from GFC. It is not much fun when the water is down as you are forced to ride in the very narrow and winding creek. There are severa...

High compression GPU

I just purchased a dual mag, high compression GPU and was wondering about the power difference over stock GPU which is on my boat now. Any input would be appreciated

I installed a set of these on my Alumitech a couple of months back. Very clean installation. They are available from summit. They are called SuperTrapp disc-only adapter kits and cost about $60 each. They come with 12 discs each which makes my GPU very quiet. More discs=less backpressure=more noise ...

2-barrel vs. 4 barrel on GPU

I am interested if anyone has tested 2 barrel and 4 barrel carbs on a GPU. I would like to know the performance difference (if any) with no other changes (props or pitch adjustments). Thanks
