Re: Chart Plotter
Well the Garmin 76 series goes from 8 inch screen to a 26in screen not sure what size you're looking for then When I searched online the only one that came up was very small. I'll check again thanks. Here's the link to what comes up: https://www.trekkinn.com/outdoor-mountain/garmin-gps-76-marine-na...

Too small of a plotter for me. I'm looking for something 6" or bigger in terms of the screen.

Going to put one on the new boat and was wondering if anyone had any input on these? I'm staying with the side mounted instrument panel so I can't go too big, but I do want to go big enough to be able to see it when I'm driving. Any ideas? Also if you have any pics of your mounts on those side instr...

Re: Running in salt water
Where are you guys running in salt water with airboats? Every place I’ve been in my skiff I would never take my airboat. Many idle zones with huge wake from aholes driving around Pine Island Bay, then north, as far as Fish Creek and Haulover, which is just south of Chaz. Must be more than 1 Fish Cr...

Re: LOOKING FOR A WATER CHECK IN THE MICCOSUKEE RES
The gauges are all still reading at or slightly below ground level. Talked with someone who went out 2 weeks ago in their buggy on the north end, and said it was so dry it was dusty
. We need it to keep raining like it has been for another couple of weeks and we should be good to go.

At one time there was a link to a hazards map on here. Would be a good place to put some coordinates on it so everyone could store them in their GPS.

Re: Building a 70k airboat
I'm doing it and I tell you why. If I had more time (I run my own business as well as coach high school football, plus manage several properties) I'd build my own, or buy some fixer upper and go all the time that way I knew it ran etc. However, that isn't my deal. When I go it's for a rare weekend w...

Scotty I was at camp 2 weekends ago and the water was perfect. Our camp is on the north end of the rez. One of the farthest north so we get skinny quick. Rode down to swimming hole and water was fine. Should've actually come up a bit more w/that last bit of rain we had.

Re: Car motor longevity
I had my builder tell me that they get 2-3000 hrs on some of the crate motors they put in tour boats. Again, I'm sure this is if they are properly maintained. I've got close to 500 on mine and it's 14 years old and still running strong.

Putting passengers forward gives the operator more control of the guests. It also reduces the risk of them getting fingers injured around belts and machinery. This is my preferred set up. I have people who ride with me who do stupid shizt and carry guns, I don't want anyone behind me where I cant s...

I currently have a front driver with a triple rear seat and a jump seat on the front of by 14' Diamondback. I'm looking into getting another DB and have noticed a lot of people doing the rear driver side-by-side seating with a bench seat in the front. What's the pro's/cons of this setup? I'd have a ...

Going to build another rig similar to what I have now (14'x7'6' Diamondback ZZ4 355hp/350 SBC 2.38:1 Stinger, 80" 3 blade NGR) only going to go with the 8' wide hull, a different engine and possibly a different prop. Yeah, but used hulls scare me. You don't know what's been done to them, how hard they've been ridden etc. I'm trying to talk him into a new hull from Cottonmouth or Predator, but it's just the time frame. Both are months out before they can even start work on the hull. My thought is though, if it wa...

My dad's boat (94' 14' Combee 0540 SV) recently had a hull issue where the hull has delaminated. We are looking to replace with something similar, but are having some issues with time. Being that my old man is a duck hunter he'd like to make as quick of a switch as possible. All of the hull builders...

Are they finally making those Eco-Techs reliable? What's the largest boat you would put one on? Duece Always have been reliable. Bad tunes and people building "ecotec" engines out of naturally aspirated 2.4L LE5 motors and slapping a turbo on it are the cause of most engine failures. So, yep, they ...
