Re: Classifieds Photos

I CAN TELL YOU. WHEN YOU DOWN LOAD PICTURES TO THIS SITE THEY SOMETIMES CHANGE TO AN UPRIGHT POSITION AND THEN YOU HAVE TO GO TO YOUR AD AND DO AN EDIT AND CLICK ON A SECTION THAT ALLOWS YOU TO ROTATE THE PICTURES BUT I CANT REMEMBER THE WORD IN THE EDIT SECTION WHICH ALLOWS THAT.

Re: France terror attack.

Olf art is right in most cases but today I prefer carrying under my shirt so that should I be in a situation with a group of people like the group in the France theater I have the element of surprise over being picked out and picked off because they see I'm armed. He is right under the circumstances...

Re: Shipping an airboat

I'm wondering why you don't just jump in your car or pickup and take off for 10 days and go get it. Anything will pull an airboat on trailer. Ive been trucking since 1970 and pull campers now. The DOT are a pain in the ass when your running for hire, cargo liability insurance which is required cost ...

Re: Shipping an airboat

WHAT ARE YOU HOPING TO GET IT THERE FOR? I do transporting with a dually pickup. The problem now is fuel is going out of site again. I can pull it to you for a $1.00 per mile loaded, and $.50 cents per mile empty back to Okeechobee Florida. I also have a great 2002 aluminum panther airboat that is m...

Re: how to identify a 4 cyl

I bought an engine last year that the guy thought was an IO-320 with 180 hp . The id plate on the oil pan assy said it was an 0320 but when this engine was taken to an aircraft repair shop to be checked before selling the first thing the mechanic said was it isn't an 0320. He was ask how he could te...

Re: First airboat. Have no idea what Ive got myself into....

I too would borrow a prop and start it but make sure the ground wires to the mags are working or hooked up and working so you can kill it quick if need be. I'm a pilot and I've seen them damn engines set for years on an old plane and start right up. I always ran a can of slick 50 in my airplanes unt...

Thanks again everyone for your thoughts and consideration to help. Yes, I learned a lesson. Don't turn into your wake as soon as you level out when stopping and I also believe my boat is setup more for running dry for the guy that had it used it to deer hunt alot. The rigging is all square tubing an...

I got it guys. Met a really nice guy that is a diver and he is good. Bought a 39 dollar inflateable boat wrapped two large ropes around it and hooked an aluminum cable rachet to the ropes and the cable to the engine lift bracket and uprighted the boat and got it off the bottom by cranking it up clos...

At this point I found a diver and I have gotten all setup to try and get it up and I guess we will know today whether we were smart enough or not. But S---t Happens and we hopefully learn from it. :banghead: Thanks for the thought

SANK BOAT

Does anyone know anyone that has a tank that would go down in the lakeport area canal in 20ft of water to hook a tow line and a float line to my airboat and not break me. I was testing my boat and after letting off it and settling down in the water I turned it and must have turned to sharp and one o...

Is it possible to call the states CONCEAL TO CARRY agency and give them the serial number to run and see who the owner is for don't they have access to that type information? Also, I am surprised that any sheriffs office wouldn't be glad to run the number without possession of gun. Tell them your th...

Re: Sbc or bbc

My suggestion would be no matter how you go make sure that the engine you buy has all forged internal parts which marine engines usually are for I don't know about airboats but I've found in the past lots of people would let their marine boat engine freeze and bust (up north) and would buy an auto e...

Re: Anyone have a hull for sell? I'm buying this motor!

I commend whomever built that engine for that has taken a lot of work and time but if it will hold together then someone may have built their own gold mine. I can see that engine on sled pulling lawn mowers, go-carts, golf carts, snowmobiles, pulling garden tractors and on and on. Looks great and go...
