Re: twin water props on some airboats

Have you ever thought about taking jet pump out of a jetski and installing it in the bottom of the boat and then hooking whatever kind of motor/engine to the shaft you like

Re: Building a 70k airboat

What I'm trying to understand is if you go out and have a super nice, super fancy, super expensive spit shined Airboat then what use is it to you other than to show off for once you spend that kind of money on an Airboat your hardly going to put it in the water and if you do your going to be scared ...

Re: Wild Country Running

I think this would be an interesting project for a redneck or crazy mechanic. LOL With all the new 4 and 6 cylinder auto engines then this MIGHT be a possibility. Some of these new engines are high HP High Mileage engines and with the right setup might be a possibility . It would be interesting and ...

Thanks, Everyone but I can't take the credit on this. My friend Bonnie, from Kentucky, is living down here now and she was the one that took the video while hanging on and found the song to put with the video . Only thing I can take credit for is that she showed me the video after we got back and I ...

I'm sure you got a low fuel pressure to injectors for I got a 7.3 ford with a chip and when I turn the chip up to race and kick it down hard I get an engine light due to low fuel pressure to injectors due to fuel pump and stock fuel lines doesn't allow injector pump to keep pressure due to fuel shor...

Re: I "MAY" change my mind on Mufflers!

I just want to make a comment on cones. I owned a Brantley B 2 B helicoperter with a turbocharged Lycoming engine and it was so loud that no one wanted to be within a mile of it when I started and ran it up to rpm. Some of you may be familiar with this copter and know what I'm saying. Also there is ...

I own an airboat with an aircraft engine that has no mufflers and this boat was used for federal, State, and local to haul government and or individual people to sites for survey and other uses and had to meet ALL Federal, state guidelines for safety, so forth and I'm wondering why it was approved t...

I looked at your Airboat flags but they are square in shape and I may be wrong but I thought the law was that they were to be rectangular shaped. Is this correct or is it even an issue?

Deano, we are basically on the same page and I understand completely what your saying and do appreciate the information. Have a good day. I'm used to Kentucky and we don't have to license a trailer or even have lights on it if your tail lights can be seen and a non powered boat, should you want to p...

Re: Airboat value for noob...

Id think the engine is worth more than the motorcycle other than the fact that I would bet the engine was bought as surplus military for little to nothing but that looks like a really nice setup unless someone has just painted a picture with paint. I don't know what engine that is but it looked to m...

Sorry for not speaking Politically Correct but Thanks Deno for the information. Re: GPS systems HELP

Why would it matter whether GPS has transducer and stuff for you don't have to hook none of that up for GPS to work and if you put screen on MAP page that is all you will see on screen. I have a Lawrence with around a 9 inch screen and it is great, easy to see, shows speed , logs trails with a line ...

Re: Shutdown proceedure for IO520

I checked the floats in an airplane I had to make sure they were brass and then I started running 50/50 Av gas and medium grade auto fuel back when everyone started trying auto fuel in aircraft and I never had a problem with it but I could tell a slight difference in the power. I went back to pure A...
