Re: Video request

I have quite a few videos on my YouTube channel. But, this one is latest example. While nothing compared to the pucker factor that fast moving river and rocks one above, it is local to FL. I never have a camera mounted it seems when we get into the real bad stuff. Channel link: https://youtube.com/...

Good lord I never thought that was an option lol.

I’m waiting to see some rigs running some
Bad local stuff. The stuff that other boats will turn away from. I want to see what these 540’s can do in particular

Video request

Anyone have videos of their boats running some impressive ground? I’m not looking for the little videos like I’ve posted, but want some truly rough running sh!t. Also include the details such as hull, engine, mods or not and what was in the boat at the time

Good airboat lakes?

Was planning on taking some family out for a first airboat trip next week on the Kissimmee Chain, but realized that week is the Freedom ride event. I refuse to ride during these events due to sheer number of volume of boats on the water. Are there any other good airboating lakes with some dry ground...

Re: Unloading airboat

I wondered about this as well isn’t it bad for the bottom of the transom? I mean I guess not cause everyone does it all the time. I seen someone do this and send the boat down the whole concrete ramp at the port. Accidentally though lol

Anyone have luck on KCOL

Hope everyone had a good hunting season in 2018. I wasn’t able to spend much time trying, but did take an 8’ gator on lake Kissimmee. Really couldn’t try any other game this year. I was able to find one gator estimated to be 12’ on lake Kissimmee, but got out smarted every time. I dubbed it the “doc...

Re: 4 blade warp drive for DD?

I found a 68” 4 blade warp drive for sale in my area for a good price. Just wondering how it would work for my setup or if anyone has ran a similar setup. Setup is a DD stock small block ford 289. Currently I’m running a 70x40 wood prop at about 2700 rpm and im just looking to get the most I can ou...

Re: Car motor longevity

I treat my airboat like an aircraft! It’s inspected before, during and after use EVERY time. Oil and filter changed at a maximum every 45-50 hrs, coolant is changed bi annually or at least annually regardless of extended life coolant. Every oil change I go over every bolt and insure it is snug or r...

Ps. Trying not to open a can of worms. Don’t want to read a pissing match between the to. I simply wanna hear from other car motor owners who have longevity on their rigs.

Car motor longevity

Curious as to how many people have logged a lot of hours on their car motors? Trying to gauge the reliability of them holding up to the abuse. I’m typically running 2,800 to 3,000 to cruise and 3,800 to 4,500 on the ground depending on conditions. Ran with some a/c boys that had me cursing at 3,600 ...

Re: Fuel pump : electric vs manual

I’ll have to look to see how it is routed. I can say that I can tell a difference with the new one installed. Seems to idle stronger if that makes sense.

Anyone using their center console for duck hunting

Was wondering if anyone is using their white center console for duck hunting. Last season, I saw someone on Kissimmee with some kind of blind/cover fitting on a bay style, white boat. I was wondering how things are working for you if you use this style. I have a 16’ CC that I would like to somehow r...
