Re: warp on a 0540

you must have a really heavy boat and yes a warp drive is better than a stick prop. I remember when my father made the switch and it was night and day difference

I think it would be a great idea, didn't the guy with the small turbine engine have a prop that can change on the fly? I would love to try one on my 0520

Re: welding hull

I don't think your going to have enough amps to properly weld your hull with that welder, make sure your getting a nice weld bead and penatration if not take it to a welder. if you were in Lake county I would do it for you

Re: 72in h series rpm

I had that same prop and had it at 3100RPM, then I was told by sensenich to run it at 2850 and I have to say they were right. it pushed alot more and less noise, now I have the NGH and is alot less noise

Re: flat or curved???

I think less flat bottom is easier to run the hill,I found that out when I bought a new hull,it has more flat area then my old one and does not move on dry ground as good even though I was told it would. in water it is much better and thats what matters to me.

you can tape off the area and sand off the powder coat so the liner will stick,it's alot of sanding but I think that would be the way to go
