Re: Lenco trim tab trouble

Had the same problem on my last 2 old boats it would go down randomly, went thru 3-4 of them in 6 years or so. So I got a new boat that does not require a trim tab.

Re: How do you mount this?

I didn't consider it needed to be built into engine I was thinking of an external one like a fuel water separator in route to oil cooler I assumed they make them maybe not? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Also you can get the mounting kit from Summit a little cheaper http://www.summitracing.com/...

major overkill for an airboat engine imo....get a cht gauge and single sending unit and put on the hottest running cyl...about $150 from aircraft spruce...westach #10-00419 gauge and #10-01285 probe or bayonet I have the same gauge but use the 3/8-24 Bayonet #10-01230 which plugs right in #3 Cyl on...

Re: Airboat battery question?

I run dual 34/78 optima's with a 19020616 delco marine 70amp alternator and never have to charge them. I alternate starting batteries every other time I ride to keep them in use. awesome batteries one is over 3 years old and other is 2 months old which replaced a aircraft battery that went dead.

Yep I did all the research on same topic a little over 2 years ago. bought a Jurnigan 0540 and a couple of the cylinders were pumping a small amount of oil after almost 2 years and 130 hours on motor. They were superior rings and had problems then. Brought it back to Jr and he replaced all 6 ring se...

Don't put a split seal in it use the real one and clean mating surfaces really good before installing. Also don't use a metal scraper etc use something plastic. You will need to borrow the tool to make it easier, I use MIL-S-8802 Proseal or you can use the Pliobond that Lycoming recommends. see thre...
