Consider your prop length too. With the six if your going to run a longer prop make sure your prop is not too far down in the boat. Raise the engine height if you have to. It will save you later on.

For what it's worth: If I'm a guest at Camp Mack, I follow the rules of the host . It's just the right thing to do. But sometimes at ramps and there is a line. You've been waiting and you do not want to hold anybody else up, so your kinda in a hurry, you showerdown and load up quickly. I'm not sayin...

That's not a Divco. That's a truck chassis with a delivery body on it. The Divco was purpose built as a van. It looks more like the GM/Chevrolet
chassis to me.

You know what's funny is that the acorn nuts that are drilled for safety wire are not available any more. Replacements you purchase do not have holes for safety wire. If you need some there is a place out west that sells them used in "servicable" condition a lot cheaper than new. If you ne...

Were the base nuts torqued with the thread lubricant recommended by Lycoming? 90% 50wt mineral oil and 10% STP. Really. Right out of the overhaul manual. It works. The only way to get a true torque on those base nuts. If you don't they will loosen up. An A&P friend of mine helped me with an engi...

Red Dwarf, some of the guys I know are building chutes into the lid of a cooler and then just strapping it to down on the bow. Frogs on ice, no sack, and when your done just take it off and nobody can fill your chute up with empties.

Thanks but this engine hasn't been run in on a test stand.
I'm of the thought that what applies for an engine in an airframe is going to be different than on an airboat. I can't do a certain rate of climb @ a % of throttle.

I appreciate the link though.

Lycoming break-in advise

I have had different break in advise and was hoping for some more to back up what I already have...

What I have is a straight vlv. 0-320 (same as a1a) new pistons, rings
and rebuilt cylinders(airworthy).

Please point me in the right direction here...

Thanks

1. I do not know. Let me ask you how far south can you go from where you live and feel safe? 2. That's right they don't. They tunnel and smuggle their way in also. So let's just let them all in right? Goood idea. 3.I am not crying. I didn't know those officers. Ask the LEO's involved what they have ...

BREWSTER, Man, Rich Andrews has a sweet Diamondback hull. Not like any other I have seen. Diamondback upfront blended similar to a Palmbeach in the rear. Very nice. Torque. Your prop got loose. It's not the bolts that hold that prop on there, it's the plate. You torque those bolts equally so that the plate squeazes the prop. The friction created between the crank(or whatever drive) and that plate is what holds the prop. Without this torque your fasteners are go...
