Re: Jerry Renny

There were some in the KRVSA club trailer, check with Danny Brantley, or Lonnie and Carol Yates, both with KRVSA. Lonnie and Carol oversee the trailer and could tell you quickly.

Re: waterin gardners marsh

SFWMD has dropped the water about 5' in the last 8 weeks. Based on the water level at our dock, I would leave the boat at home and ride the buggy through the marsh.

Guess when you have a big car motor boat, you have to buy a PowerPole so you can anchor at the bottom of the hill/ridge the rest of us climb.

Re: camping memorial weekend at lake kiss

Just a suggestion, remember to check availability of sites at Port Hatchineha, now owned by Polk County Parks & Recreation, may have a few sites. IF you camp on the lake, be sure you are in a "designated camp" area. I don't agree with it either, but they are really busting B*lls about it. Big Gobble...

Re: marsh kiss.

I asked them if they learned anything last year from the 13 predicted storms that ended with ZERO? The whole thing is...

Re: HOW MANY, HOW OFTEN DO YOU GET THROWN OFF OF YOUR BOAT

Thrown out--2 times in 30 years. Once idle speed, frog gigging, bumped a fence post with port side rear. Second time water way down, riding down a narrow creek with steep banks, bumped lip on the bankline while turning a corner, port rear again. What you hear about taking it down the middle is true,...

Re: Which Handheld GPS would you recommend

It is going to be hard to find a hand held unit that will give you marinas, fuel, restaurants, etc at any kind of reasonable money. Of course that depends on your idea of reasonable. If you want those features you really need to look at a unit that is built in/8" or so screen, and uses map cards, mo...

Re: What club is the FAA?

Florida Airboat Association, easiest explained like this. You are a member of a club (hopefully) your club (manufactures, vendors, etc) are members of the FAA. Simply put they are the "state" club. Kind of like the UN (United Nations) is to the world. Sure hope you are in a local club and find a lot...

Re: Need advice with an airboat I'm goin to buy.

You better hope it is bigger than 9, 10, or 11. In MY OPINION that is wau too small for a 6cyl auto. If this is your first boat, you better get someone to help you learn. I have had airboats for 26 years and would not want to ride a 9-11 with that heavy motor. Check the stringers and bottom, not to ...
