Re: whats the best carborator for PE 90 Continental dual mag ?

Hi, go to NAPA and get part number 1-467. It is a Ford 300 c.i. ,6 cyl. carb. Fits right on P.E. 90 manifold. Use thick gasket if needed. Good Luck.

Kissimmee chain camping

Can anyone tell me where there is a good place to airboat camp on the Kissimmee chain. I like the area between the Camp Mack canal and the bus. Is that a good area to camp for a couple of days? Thanks in advance. Don

Re: 220 mechanical fuel pump

They also ran one mag. Zenith carb., stock headers and no 0470 and 0520 conversions. If you look at the top of a stock G.P.U. engine Zenith carb. you will see two cylinder shaped tubes about three inches long. Those do the job on the stock engine that the elect. pump does on an airboat engine. Stops...

Re: 220 mechanical fuel pump

Save your cylinders. Take the mechanical pump off. Cover hole and get a Delco elect. pump. When you are shutting down for a good while turn the elect. pump off first then the mag. after the engine stops running. Then raw fuel cannot drain into a cyl. that has an intake valve open and wash the lubric...

What oil to use in a Cont. G.P.U., (P.E.-150)

I just got in a U.S. Airforce G.P.U. original rebuild manual. It says that you can use SAE 30 oil. Has anyone out there been using this 30 weight oil in there G.P.U. engines? I have always used aircraft oil SAE 50.

PUMP GAS

PUMP GAS ,I have been airboating for years and I like aircraft engines. I think that most airboaters using aircraft engines esp. G.P.U.s do not realize these older engines were manufactured to use lead in the fuel. The lead keeps the tops of the engines lubricated. In my opinion that is why the top ...
