Re: New Airboat T.V. Series - Feedback Requested

Y'all like Alaska reality shows. I would like to see some Down South culture. Swamp Logging and gator fishing is getting boring on the tube. Send the crews, buy some boats. Put Sarah Palin on board, we don't want her anymore.... Heck if they can pay for gold mines up here they sure should show what ...

Re: Shorty Headers melting engine mounts?!

Upward thinking on mounting those headers. Do you have room to bring the pipes forward then down and out the back or are you thinking of running them high? Seems like supporting the pipes up high may be a challenge?

Re: small boat on top of airboat

I haul a 12' duck boat strapped to my windshield frame and lashed to my upper steering station. The airboat is a Leaonard hull. It travels just fine through mild alder choked streams.

Re: The Down side of Airboats, Dangers, ect.

Check out the Mokai, macho jet powered kayaks..... Now that I got that out of the way, I couldn't recommend a better river boat than a airboat. :angel4: I kinda Liked what I saw over at American Airboat Inc. and they offered to teach me everything I need to know, so I'm looking at $40, to $60,000.0...

Are you meaning in the field, a lot different than on the water. I don't really like climbing into the cage if the boat is floating in more than a couple feet of water. That said, I have changed out a shredded belt in the field. Ratchet straps through the cage to lift the back of the motor and It w...

My woman has always wanted a moose. Super cool vid, even if it is a "ranch moose". Much better than a bleeding heart wolf propaganda video.

We use them for transport and storage of diesel, regular gasoline, and AV gas. The only problem I have with them is the white gaskets under the bung caps swell with contact to gasoline.

Preparedness items also need to go with a train of thought. Sooner or later sh** will go south. I have to agree with a previous post that you should have a wingman where other boaters are infrequent, or nonexistent.

Re: Frog legs stolen from Old Glory$2000 REWARD-Now over $70

I hope the thief(s) are flushed out and get some old fashioned bare knuckle justice. We have problems here as well with people helping themselves to what we keep at our cabins. Sad thing is, they know it isn't right, they just can't help but make the wrong descisions. We have a "joke" up here about ...

Hats off to those who put themselves at risk to get this family to safety. Volunteers, government, or paid responders we sho...

Bud, We don't run pancake cages on our boats cause we run the brush, alders, etc... Those branches would tear the equipment/wires/hoses off your motor in a heartbeat. BK I agree with this, at least considering how everyone uses their boats during hunting season. Even running in tight creeks I end u...

EFI. We run at average 33 deg with 80-90% humidity in the winter months. EFI equals zero problems. I have heard about the coolant circulation through a carb plate but have no firsthand experience with that setup. :alaska:

You southern folk just go crazy over the slightest threat to the gun laws. Name calling and disrespecting anybody with a opposing point of view. For those who are not aware of it, both Presidents Bush and Clinton used executive orders to inact gun control legislation. Look it up, i'm sure it wasn't...

That pipeline is truly something to behold. It would never have been built so efficiently today.... Our government and bleeding hearts would have had to study and engineer it to death. I offer a cheers to the Great Alaska Pipeline and those men and women who made it happen!
