Re: Swapping hulls...

:? I didn't think about it bending the T-bars outward! Yes I have angle mounted on the bottom of my rigging that runs the whole length. It's also 2"x2", so it'll still be sitting on the runner with weight applied to them. I'm not sure if that makes any difference...

Swapping hulls...

I just picked up what appears to be an older JB hull. I'll be getting rid of my 13' glass hull and going with this 12' aluminum hull. I measured my rigging and it is 1/2" to 1" wider (total width) than the T-bars they're gonna mount to. I'm just looking for y'all's ideas on how to mount my original ...

My phone has been doing the same thing for about the same amount of time as y'all's. I get it a lot when browsing the classified section but it does happen on the forum just not as much..

Re: Is a SBC DD to heavy for a 12x7 cottonmouth?

350dd will be fine on that hull, I've seen them on smaller lol. But if u can find a good 4 cyl then that would prob be better yet, depending on which one. Personally, if I had to get rid of my 350 for on A/C I wouldn't go any smaller than an O-320. JMO.

Re: Wild hog recipes?

Thanks for all the replies! I didn't know the the crock pot can rob it of its natural flavors. I know wild hog can taste good, because a guy I use to work with did a company dinner of about a half a dozen different wild hog recipes that were awesome. This 100lb sow I shot I let sit in the cooler unt...

Re: Porpoising is back..!

The boat sits on the trailer bunks as it should, where the load is supported by the trailer bunks. This weekend while it was sitting on dry, I would keep throttling the gas to watch for any movement. I've noticed that the bolts would move up and down in the stringers, like the holes are wallowed out...

Porpoising is back..!

Awhile ago I fixed the porpoising issue by shimming the poly. I haven't ran alot of abrasive dry or asphalt (so the poly isn't worn down), the shim is still there but the porpoising has returned.. I don't see any poly damage and only found a couple broken welds. I re-welded the broken spot...

Wild hog recipes?

What are some recipes yall use for wild hog? Last one I shot and ate was about 180 lb boar. I'd cook it in a crock pot all day or in the oven and I wasn't impressed. It would be fall off the bone tender but the juices would just disappear as you eat it and become dry. Last Sunday I shot about a 120 ...

Re: Carrying a pistol through multiple states...??

Well I read up on some of the links lastnight and Tn states that the gun must be unloaded and securely encased (i.e. lock box, glovebox, case, etc.) and the ammo has to be stored away from the gun and out of personal reach. Kinda seems pointless to bring it now :violent1: I've been wanting to get my...

Re: Carrying a pistol through multiple states...??

Thanks for the links and advice! I will check into it further. And just to clarify, when I said carrying, I mean in the holster and in the glovebox at the same time. Not concealed and on person..

Carrying a pistol through multiple states...??

The girlfriend and I will be driving from Fl to Tennessee for a 5 day vacation. I usually carry my 9mm in a slip-in-type holster (doesn't have a strap, just slides in) and in the glovebox, loaded. I've been stopped once and the cop just did routine procedures and gave me the all clear. I'm fairly ce...

Re: Fly wheel (Flex plate)

I've noticed mine doing the same thing.. I notice mine wobbling front to back if I'm standing and looking at it from the side. I'm running a direct drive though. I've noticed a vibration, so I figured I'd replace it and if that dont work, the harmonic balancer is next! Now I just have to figure out ...

I have a question that maybe one of yall can answer who has had their old hull restored.. Re: leaveing boat out in the rain

X2 on the billboard tarps! I bought one from a friend for $15-20, cut it to size and added grommets. Harbor freight stopped selling the tarps used for my car (boat) canopy.. Seems like tough stuff! I've only had one grommet rip out. It's going on a year now. Great option if you don't mind looking at...

Good deal. I'm hoping I'll see a noticeable difference since I'm going from a 5-blade, right to a bowtie! And for some reason my warp is extremely loud, so hopefully this will help also..

Re: Warp drive plates

Haha dirt cheap, no wonder yours looks so good.. No problem Gee! I just like trying to make some things myself, so that way it turns out how I want it. If it doesn't work, the only one to blame is myself. If it turns out good, I can say I built it. If I end up doing most of it by hand, I may just sa...
