Engine stand help..

I'm rebuilding the boat, and need help with any ideas on how to square up my engine stand. When I plum Bob it, it shows that (when looking from the front towards the back, at the front of the motor) the front needs to go left about 7/8" and the back needs to go right about 1/2". The engine...

Re: Flashlight

I use the Maglite XL50. Bought it from walmart for about $25-30 and it's lasted awhile and fairly bright/focused beam. The one I have is 104 lumens but I see other of the same model with higher lumens. I wouldn't of guessed it was 104 lumens, because my buddy's +/- 300 lumen light isn't much brighte...

Re: Ruger Blackhawk 41 mag

I don't own it yet.. The reason I'm asking is I may possibly trade my ford bronco (asking $1000) for the blackhawk and a 40 cal glock. Just trying to find out if I'm making a good deal or shorting myself.. I'd rather have cash, if not then I would have to try and turn around and sell the Blackhawk b...

Ruger Blackhawk 41 mag

What can y'all tell me about this gun? I'm told it's an early model and brass trigger/frame. How do you determine value? Thanks guys.

Re: Help, finally started 520 conversion, issues

I don't know much of anything about aircraft, but I'll throw an idea out there for ya anyway.. I have a small block that i just got done fixing a similar issue today. It would rev up but shortly after start dying down and losing rpms. I noticed air bubbles in my fuel filter, so I checked for air lea...

Re: Airboats on MTV...

Yea I'm not sure I can get into all the high school drama in this show but it had airboats in it right from the get go, so I decided to give it a chance.. I bet there probably won't be hardly anymore airboats in the show now, after the first premiere. I wouldn't say all Alaska shows are bad.. I don'...

Airboats on MTV...

Looks like there's a new show from Alaska. It's more of a drama, young party people show but some of the guys work at an airboat shop. They'll show them at the shop or out snowboarding and wake boarding behind one. Hell they even played tug of war against a truck in the airboat.

Re: Who would have thunk you could sharpen a knife this way!

I've been doing it that way for a long time.. It only works good if you already have a decent edge. If you're cleaning a deer or what not, just run over to your window and it'll bring it back to shaving hair! When I sharpen my knives I usually start out on a nice 3 stone then finish it off on a wind...

76 inch prop on a gearbox boat..?

I finally got a gearbox for my direct drive. I've got a lot of work to do before buying a prop, but I'm trying to get an idea of the prop I need so I can keep an eye out for one. My cage will only clear about 76", that's with about 2" on each side to clear the cage. The motor is going to b...

Re: Need info on gearbox ASAP.

I've been direct drive for the last 6 years or so and I ended up finding this box for 1000.. I'm so ready for a change! As for staying with the Chevy pattern, that looks highly likely. I don't see myself getting into something high tech and high performance for awhile. I'm going to look at the box t...

Need info on gearbox ASAP.

Looking at possibly buying a precision gearbox and need to know what to look for to make sure I don't buy something broke or wore out! What do I check for and how do I check it??? Also, I have some other questions... Are precision boxes interchangeable with any other boxes, as far as bolt patterns a...

Where'd you find an 0-320 for that price? I wouldn't mind finding a decent lil 4 banger to replace my DD lol.

I've got a warp I'll trade ya! Comes with 5 blades and two different style plates. It can either be a 68" 5 blade or a 68-70" 4 blade bow tie. The bow tie plates are adjustable from either 68" or 70".

Re: Hunting private property..

I'll definitely look into it better.. Btw, when I said high water marks I was referring to being outside of the white signs they post on trees. I've seen plenty of ladder stands out in the open just outside the signs, without any harassment from the "man". Any suggestions on where to find ...

Re: Hunting private property..

Well I looked through the property appraisers website and was able to figure out how to get it to show names of who owns what.. Some looks to still be private while others say SRWMD owns it, but yet there's plenty of cow, as if it's private.. I really had to dig through the web to find num...

How do you find out who owns what land and possibly even their contact info? Is there any maps out there that show property boundaries and ownership? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Re: How to handle encroaching hunters..

If its public land, its who gets there first on that particular day, PERIOD. Believe me, ive been on both sides of it. Scout a place so far back in the shizz and opening day a guy gets there before you, its his spot. But if I am there first I do everything I can to let him know Im there without rui...

Re: How to handle encroaching hunters..

I agree I'm probably not the first person to hunt there.. A spot like that is rare to find. What I do know is that you have to really want to get to this spot because it's such a small piece of land that's not in plain sight. I had my doubts about hunting it and there being any deer, due to its smal...

How to handle encroaching hunters..

For the past few years, finding a spot to hunt around my area is a chore with all the people hunting the area. I'm usually the type to walk away and find somewhere else to hunt if someone's already there, which usually leads to me scrambling to find spots during the season. Well this past year I fou...
