Re: NEED A LITTLE GPU HELP

Check the power valve in the carb. Had the same issue years ago. One bad backfire from being barely out of time blew the power valve. Had us chasin ghosts for two days. Lol.

DOM will rust out so fast that it's not worth the money to build riggings out of.

My vote is for the hull. 14x8 , all decked out with sea dek for next scallop season. And then your old hull can go to the obannon foundation. It's a little more tree resistant.

The level is an average of five different places. It could be low on the south side but high up north and have the same level as another year but have completely different area levels.

Based on past experience I would venture to say the harmonics are prob due to improper prop adjustments or bad hubs.

If you choose to run the canal. Be careful of the two wildlife crossings on the NE corner and the east side. They will ruin your day in a hurry.

Re: Prop causing GPU to misfire????

Just FYI. I had a two blade prop from a reputable prop company that was causing bad harmonics and vibrations thruout the engine. After time and time again of checking rechecking , clocking and reclocking i sent it back and the hub was so far out of tolerance that they sent me a new one and redid my ...

Re: Prop causing GPU to misfire????

Had it happen more than once. Prop hub is prob out of tolerance and causing bad harmonics. I would send the hub back and blades with it to be checked. Shouldn't have to clock a hub for it to run right

Then it's a ground power case. Should say Mohawk on the case between the cylinders. If it's got a ma3 then someone put an aircraft sump on it.

Re: Continental engine identification ?

That boat belonged to a friend of mine. motor was rebuilt by chad wherrel in okeechobee. I did some minor work on the boat a couple years ago. Was a fun boat to run but the bottom was not right and would get very squirrelly over 35mph. But on dry ground it was unreal. Message me if you have any ques...

In response to the step hull question, its really optical illusion
That the motor is up in the rear when actually it's just parallel
To the planing surface. A step rides on two points and the
Motor is parallel to that.

Re: Time for a change for the next Florida Governor

I would never compare getting a pension in the army vs public sector. And that's bs about the private sector out performing the public. Because the same individuals can work in either the public or private. In the public sector it's not about production it's about maintaining and ensuring it works w...

Re: Time for a change for the next Florida Governor

I've worked in both the private and the public. And if the jobs are taken from the public and given to the public or vice versa is really no concern to me but as a state worker one of the candidates was good for us and the other wasn't. What exactly has Scott done to help florida? Not really sure wh...
