Re: SA 2012 Calendar

Sniper,

If you take ED up on his offer to pick you up at the airport here in Nebraska, I have a 5th wheel parked out at the river that you can stay in. I also have to burn some vacation time up this year so you could also have a chauffeur if you wanted. Rick

Re: Upgrade Advice

Just a thought. I had an old B&B 14 ft hull. They are heaver than any Cotton Mouth hull I have ever seen. I used to get stuck in 6 inches of water. I had an old stock 400 sbc with a 72 inch 3 blade IVO PRO prop or a 72 x 36 wood prop. I would get stuck with both of them with that B&B. I put a 72 inc...

Re: Thunder on the Loup 2011

Thanks Rotator, your area sounds like a good place to head to. When you know more about that July BBQ please let me know when it is so I can make plans early. I have some grandkids that like to book my time up in advance and when I tell them it is a date it has to be something bad or I keep the time...

I would just like to add my 2 cents worth in also, Thanks Rick, and the rest of the crew that help keep this up and running. This is a great place to learn from others and find information. Being able to see the photos everyone posts and read information on the air boating in other locations makes m...

Re: Thunder on the Loup 2011

I was up to Thunder on the Loup the first time in 2007 before I got my airboat, then back in 2009 and 2010 with my boat and I had a blast all three times. I would like to go to at least a couple other states this summer and go airboating there. Thinking to make northern OK this year for one. It woul...

Mags for Military

If anyone is ever thinking they would like to send something to someone over seas in the military here is an option for you to do that. This lady is putting boxes of things together and shipping these to men and women in the service over seas. I had heard about this about a year ago but did not get ...

Re: Bimini Top Builder?

We have not been east of the site where Thunder on the Loup is held yet. I am looking forward to coming up that way more this year.
I was sharing some of my home made Canadian Bacon with everyone on Saturday up there. I met so many walking around with that I could not keep track of everyone.

Re: Bimini Top Builder?

jwscls6768, Yes we was up for Thunder on the Loup. My boat had just been finished about a week before. I did not even have the seat covers for it yet. We put our boat in up at Tin Man's. We run out of Lake Platteview. It is just north of Hiway 92 and the Platte River.

Re: Saturdays Run on Video

Terminknotor: I spent 20 years traveling this country and Florida is a great place to visit but I am to dangerous to myself to be turned loose in some place that has the kind of critters that you all have down your way. Loved deep sea fishing and being on an airboat out in the glades in the 80s when...

Re: Motor identification help!!!!

I do not know much about aircraft engines but I would guess that it looks like it came out of something like a generator. It does not look like it would be a vertical engine because the oil drain is on the opposite side of the fan. I think they have it shipped the way it is so that they can use the ...

Ranthisone, I have a mark on my winch strap where my boat is just starting to tip back. I loosen the winch strap to the mark and then back up and hit the brakes. When it slides back to the end of the strap I then can let the winch out slowly and the boat tips back to the ground in a controled speed ...

Getting ready to cook up another 60 lbs of the home made Canadian Bacon on Thanksgiving day. I took 25 lbs of it up to Thunder on the Loup and passed out samples on Saturday and Sunday and it went over great. Has anyone else tried making a batch of this?
