Re: UPDATE ON THE SEARCH EFFORTS IN THE GLADES

Quite a few of us are following this situation. Possibly we could all agree to post info strictly on this topic title so we don't get forced into hopping around like a frog to find credible info since this site has a better source than the news media.

Re: ANY NEW UPDATES FROM THE SEARCH IN BIG CYPRESS TODAY???

Why don't we all stick to the Dbrewster post topic "Update on Search Efforts in the Glades"
That way all the current info is in one place instead of forcing ourselves to hop around like a frog to find it.

Re: lost hunter in the glades

Folks might want to consider resisting starting new topic on this subject so that the info is located in one place instead of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ???? places.

How about we all stick to the Dbrewster post topic "Update on the Search Efforts in the Glades"

Re: UPDATE ON THE SEARCH EFFORTS IN THE GLADES

I think 2 things are happening that lead to our confusion and frustration with the media and agencies involved. 1 We are forced rely on news reporters not knowledgable enough to interpret their info sources words properly enough to make sense. 2 Law enforcement must and always does look at these inc...

Re: UPDATE ON THE SEARCH EFFORTS IN THE GLADES

Any Big. C. hunter that might have hunted by canoe last week East of Turner River Road (TRR) at 1 of the 2 underpasses located 1 and 2 miles East of TRR on I-75 need to call FWC in Naples at 239 417 6274 and describe their boot sole to them. I suggest this because they found tracks in the vicinity o...

Re: Hunter lost in Big Cypress

I agree 150% but searchers may be in an area hunters are hunting in now so it actually may be someone elses cigarettes. Still I can't see a smoker not always keeping his cigarettes on his person unless they were accidently lost.

Re: Hunter lost in Big Cypress

Actually it is hunting season now but only someone with a Bear Island quota permit could go in and only on the Blue Trail in this area. Tracks were banned many years ago. The Blue Trail entrance is on the W. side of Turner River Road maybe 100 yds. North of the I-75 overpass. I wouldn't travel all t...

Re: Hunter lost in Big Cypress

From Everglades City you would travel North on SR 29 for 4-5 miles to US 41 then head East on US 41 5 miles or so to Turner River Road(TRR) (dirt) then proceed North on TRR for about 22 miles and you would be there. I know many of us want to do something to help and it is hard to resist helping one ...

Re: Hunter lost in Big Cypress

I'm beginning to think something else is going on here. Much of this isn't making sense at this point unless the agencies know something they don't want to talk about publicly. Someone mentioned us folks knowledgable of the area going out there and finding the man. I've been roaming out there 45 yea...

Re: Hunter lost in Big Cypress

The man's name is Jamey Mosch fresh out of New York living now in North Fort Myers out on his first hunt in Big Cypresses Bear Island Unit one to two miles North of I-75 possibly West of Turner River Road (probably some of the toughest totally thick forested terrain in Big C.). I was just notified m...

I just changed my SAC DST summer setting to no as directed. Nothing has changed yet on the SAC site since I did it a few minutes ago.
Does it take a while or what??
The correct time now is 12:29 AM.
The post time noted on SAC is 1:29AM

I'm glad this is going on during the break between muzzleloading and gun season in Big Cypress Preserve. Maybe we'll get a lot of our folks to be there. Great to see AAOF already intergrated into it. Maybe by next time the Gladesmen Culture will be involved in a big way.

It hasn't happened since hurricane Andrew 17 years ago but the USAF Thunderbireds precision flying team is coming back to Homestead AFB in Homestead Fl. on Nov. 7 and 8 2009. The URL here has all the details for those who love to have the ROAR of unbridled power. Airboats are cool but a rare event l...

Trammel is a very tricky word that can get everyone very mixed up with trampelled. We may need a dictionary here but I believe trammel means to kind of like have a ball and chain on something to prevent movement. An apartment building right in the middle of the view of a proposed wilderness would tr...

There is a bunch of us that will be glad when it is over due to the amount of work in informing everyone.
Thanks in advance to all who come down. Hope to meet everybody.
