Re: 5 more

The thought of moving to Texas has came up more than a few times. If my children were not still in school it would be a no brainer but I have a few more years before the last on is out of school. Texas has been very good to us and I have made some good friends out there. If I could ever get the free...

Re: tech question whitch is most efficent belt or gear and w

The weight difference is the biggest dis advantage with the belt drive as far as I am concerned about 70lbs for a gear box vs almost 140lbs for a belt drive. Going off the shipping weight of the belt drive

Re: Rotator gear boxes

I gotta be honest I never had any problems with Ballistic gear boxes when I was selling them. I have one get a little chatter in it and Shane sent a replacement right away. That being said Brian is a lot closer to me and as far as I can tell the new Ox boxes are smoother and quitter than any other b...

I have had several mounted behind lexan in solid rakes and so far no issues. We use 40 inch bars. I don't think most guys keep them turned on for long periods of time

I used a tristar engine on a boat I built for a guy in Texas the 555 big block and he loves it. And I believe they offer a 2 yr warranty

Gatoraid and bananas I have had 2 heat strokes and they suck. My whole body cramped up and I passed out completely the first time the second time I fell to the ground in slow motion but I never went out. It's no joke when you feel it coming on

Re: Supercharger

I think if it is built right you shouldn't have any issues I have had 5 383 engines build for customers that truly dyno at 500-510hp and never had a problem but I honestly believe that when you get to 550hp honest hp you should step up the cubic inch of the engine. I am not an engine builder but in ...

Re: Supercharger

I just had a 383 with a 177 blower built by Glen Treadwell I don't have it on the boat yet but it did pretty good on the dyno 530hp and over 500 torque I haven't seen the dyno sheet yet but he said it did really good so we will see. I use 2.3 ratio on almost all my big block engines and they work really well. I really don't think long tube headers will make much difference if any IMO.

Let me know Flatsfisher I am always ready. I will post some pictures when I get everything put on it. This one is getting power poles a 7 inch touch screen GPS and some other goodies. We had a 555 big block built for it so it's gonna be a good running boat. I look forward to getting it on the water
