I've heard & read you can use any paint to color it with or just buy colored gel coat which is what I ended up doing..Wade at hamant told me he just uses the webbing solution & paint to do his hulls..good luck..it was an experience for sure but not hard once ya figure out your air pressure,pattern etc
so I just got off the phone with a rep from cable ties and more.. you talk about being treated like an idiot..tried telling me that maybe I didn't know how to use them & maybe the gun was the problem..he said they thousands of these ties to the military and have never had any complaint..what douche ...
yes they r the ones that have the ball..hmm I tried using pliers etc and same thing..get em tight then they back off..& I figured I'd order the tensioning pliiers online in which I did but don't have them yet..so guess now that is probably gonna be a wrong move too lol..which ones are you using now?
just an FYI if anyone uses the stainless ties don't order the ones from cable ties & more Lilly pad was referring to.. because I did & they suck!! waisted 30bks..they don't tighten down w/o rolling back
I've always used acetone to clean any surfaces after I've prepped for paint etc with good results..but I have been told that vinegar will also work..this true? sure is a lot cheaper than acetone
webbing solution,black pigment & mek hardner & gun from harbor freight.. today was the 3rd attempt to get the gun,air pressure,pattern right..I give up lol,too much to type with what I encountered..it didn't bond to the boat for shiat either so I spent 3hrs pressure cleaning all of it back out.. mon...
well this afternoon didn't work out as I had hoped..1 problem after another..gun wouldn't spray as I'd hoped after trying air pressure.. product volume whole nine yards.. overwhelmed to say the least!!
