I have a very similar setup to yours and asked the same questions when I built it. I was referred to Alan @ s&s performance carburater which provided good results. I went from not being able to break free on dry with and eldabrock to running wherever I wanted with a 670 cfm holly. Not sure what kind...

Many many times back when I had a 2 wheel drive truck and sometimes had to with 4x4 when launching of the grid. The boat helps a lot.

From what I've researched in the past an armored catfish and a placo are two different species. The placo can be found burrowing along shorelines for nesting while the armored catfish nest in wetland areas and builds a nest that resembles a floating clump of bubbles and foam with dry grass on top. Another idea is that you could put in at the ramp off 98. It is on a canal that goes from Lake Istokpoga to the Kissimmee River and is about midway between River Ranch and Okeetantie. One thing to consider and in my opinion is very dangerous is the fact that there are a lot of switchback turns where you cannot see other boats coming in opposite directions. Extreme care needs to be taken when navigating these areas.

Allen Is this also the case for stock sbc 350. I had you tune my carb 3 years ago and vaigly remember you saying something along those lines. I used the same wire on my boat because your exactly right it holds up better in the sticks.

Appears to be a Boat I help build 2-3 years ago. Had an 0540 when my buddy sold it. Look at Pipedogs tread about finally Iam building my boat. He's building the Same thing
but bigger.
