Re: duck hunting traning
Waterdog was good in its day but is consider out dated by most. If your interested in a Wolter's book, I recommend Game Dog for general training basics. If interesting in do-it-yourself programs, SmartWorks by Evan Graham or videos from Judy Aycock and Danny Farmer are very good. One good thing abou...

Re: Trinity crab trap clean up pics
I actually asked a crabber not that long ago about their license and what kinda cost they had in each trap. Most crabbers have more than one license and allowed 200 traps per a license. The average material cost of one trap is $25. I was also told the yellow wire seems to attrached more crabs but on...

Re: Where to launch below Waco?
Hwy 7 running between Marlin and Hwy 77 has a ramp below the bridge. Don't know of another public ramp in that area. Lots of bowfishing opportunity in that area headed back towards Waco with a lot of sand shoreline. I hear catfishing is also good.

Thanks to those of you who are volunteering in the Aransas area. Looks like a beuatiful weekend forcast with no wind and blue skys. Would like to help but will be re-roofiing the house after the hail storm that hit a few weeks ago. If anyone would like to trade, I'd be more than glad to swap places.

Not surprised. They just past a city ordinance (new Mayor) in Waco requiring a yearly $35 permit if you do not spay or neuter your dog. F'n government in every aspect of our lives.

Besides the big Memorial weekend run, any other plans for a run below Whitney or any other central Texas area? Much longer and the rains will be here and the river will be up.

Dual-Action sander. Eats more air from a compressor than anything else on the shelf.

Dave and Debbie Jacobs have a new RV park south of RP off 35. They should be up and running with available spots. Very nice and good people from Hondo. Don't have the parks number but Debbie's cell is (210) 415-8513.

Re: electric fuel pump
Ran a Mr. Gasket on a offroad vehicle for several years without problems. Don't know if I would trust it in a high horse power application, but it might provide years of service without incident. If you want to save $, run it. Just keep a cheap inline pump on hand for insurance. I found out the hard...

I probably spent atleast a hour washing and then degreasing the side of the hull plus another 3 hours applying the camo. Last hour was trying to get wrinkles and bubbles out.

Jay, thanks for adding the video. The hunting has been really good for us this year. Its been good enough one of my compadres has been splitting time between his Laredo lease and duck hunting with me. Trying to get down asap this week for a few more hunts. Hope the water is still up. Kinda bored around the house this x-mas eve and spent a little time with Movie Maker. 8 minutes of a typical duck hunt ride home.

There has been 3 Cumins deisel boats built in Texas that I know of. They all had exhaust temp. problems. I think the projects have all been abandoned. I think a belt drive is needed if you make big horsepower. There's a pretty nice 12valve 5.9 running the Brazos around Waco. The owner works at a lo...

Actually surprised and pleased that Hogheaven was invited to represent airboaters. Surprised being a airboater was invited at all. I'm pretty sure he has a good understanding of LHL and surrounding areas which the WP&P is hoping to close to motor traffic. Did I expect to be invited, No. Will I atten...

Re: Camo Wraps for Airboat - Vinyl Graphics Kit
After seeing Cudacats boat, I was sold. Priced Camoclad with a local dealer and ended up buying from Camo4u. Needed 80sf of material to cover 18" of sides and the transom. Ran around $3.50 a sq. ft. to my door. I have a new respect for the guys who apply this material to cars or boats without wrinkl...

Sounds like a awesome trip. Sucks you lost the Goldeneye and Harlequin. A Harlequin is one of the top items on my bucket list. Close friend of mine hunts Washington every year and always talks about the strength of their birds. Would love to experience it. Thanks for sharing the pic.

Would love to have been a fly on the wall in order to pick up a little knowledge. Trying to figure out how your using the port-a-power. Did you block the bottom and wrap a chain around the hull pushing against the large tubing or beam? I'd love to do the same to my hull and add additonal T-bars. Wha...

Metals-2-Go in Hewitt has been able to order aluminum for me at a reasonable price. They also carry a small supply of angle and tubing instock. Stewart Stainless on Old Dallas Hwy carries a good selection of aluminum but you'll need to carry a full jar of petroleum jelly with you. What thickness and...

Usually avoid the crowd at the park and use the free ramp near the Hunt Club. Don't know him, but I think Sr.'s nephew was hunting the blind next to us both mornings running a silver AirRanger with clients. Bunch of airboats leaving the hunt club and park at 5:30am. Hate that feeling when your backi...
