Re: Need more power, not sure which route to take

Do a little research on cams, to make decent power in an ls you do not need a high lift cam. GMPP offers to cams Hot Cam and ASA Cam that work with stock valve train and upgraded springs. ASA cam has a nice flat torque curve and Both cams are low lift around .525 but have a little more duration. Mak...

Re: Round or square?

That is the route I took. Stainless is the only way to go, IF you are going to powder coat it or paint it you can use 304 and save a little money.

I used 304 and Saltwater fish all the time. Rigging is 5 years old and no issues other than my crappy welding skills.

Re: Having trouble starting in cold weather

If it is a demon it may have the EZ-idle circuit. There is a screw at the bottom of where the air cleaner stud is installed. Set curb idle, idle mixture screws then use EZ idle circuit to readjust idle. Get demon website and check out the tuning instructions. This help keep the transfer slot open wh...

Re: Top airboat manufacturers?

For the subject you asked about top Manufacturers. Boats in Florida are either aluminum or fiberglass. Listed above are just the larger Aluminum manufactures and produce mostly welded boats, with some riveted. While they all build great boats, there are a number of small guys that build great rivete...

Re: Overheating problem. Any help would be appreciated!

I ran the set-up that deano described bit I used a gutted thermostat. Also ran a large dual pass radiator. Never got 170 and ran around 150 unless I was running it hard.

I never ran an expansion tank either. Worked great for the 10 years I ran it.

Re: Lock out timing

I ran a MSD box, MSD high vibration coil and, MSD dist on my dd caddy for 8 years. It had a little better throttle response, started a little easier, but certainly didn't help me add any pitch to my prop. I would not have spent the money if I had not picked it up in the bulk caddy deal. If I was loo...

Re: Need some starter help

My Cadillac did that a few times when it was hot. I went to a push button starter and a Switch for the ignition. I could spin it then hit the ignition. With that said do you have the timing locked out, running a hotter plug, or low octane fuel in a high compression motor all of these could cause tha...

For fiberglass I sure like Paul Jasksons hull, Loreen hookers hulls and matry bray makes a sweet little baby river master but it handle different than the 1st 2.

Yes sir Had a similar situation 2 week ago in north of the Waccassasa fishing the mouth of a creek, trout were on fire. Guy made an effort to stay out of the way but ended up running right through our hole and end sending his prop-wash our way. Bite went flat. Gave him the benefit when we moved on u...

Jeep sent you a PM

As long as you have motor making plenty of torque and a good torque curve I will have less effect than say on my stock 5.3

Kind of like you can run 44" tire on a Toyota with a 22R if you have the right gears. Put a strong v8 in it and the gearing is not as critical.

What demon do you have? Vacuum or Mechanical secondary? Also some demon have a ez-idle circuit. Which is adjusted through the air cleaner stud hole. As for the hesitation could need to change the squirter, cam or possibly lighter springs in the dist. Could be a combination of thing. Based or your de...

Well the 72lxl38 if it was a paddle prop is more of a caddy prop. Sensenich - Q, NGH, Alpha Water Walker - Cypress or Signature Whirlwind - Whisper tip, Razor, Excalibur and if you have wrap drive plates you have the saber or razor option Just take a minute a call each one and ask what they recommen...

A buddy showed me a little trick, you can use the smallest zip-ties to hold your pattern get it the way you like it and weld away. He also made me a 3x3 block of wood to keep the same size opening without trying to measure each opening.

Re: What wire should I run on my conduit cage ??

Go to drywall supply and get the 11 ga hanger wire works great on conduit cage. The two conduit cages I built with it I used 3x3 opening still big enough to work through but not hurt the airflow as bad as 2x4.

What pump you using as the lift pump? I have seen the cheaper universal pump with 1/4" fitting cause a similar problem.
