Re: YOUR AIRBOAT
Thanks!
Paint is a Sherwin Williams industrial product called Kem 400. Bought the rig a couple of months ago near Conroe. It was used for bow fishing an in pretty rough shape but ran good. Did a ton of work making it ready for duck season including the paint. Also rewired it using tinned wire, new gauges, reduction belt, SS exhaust, tune-up, seats, tons of holes welded up, etc. I'm pretty happy with the outcome. Now I want more power.

Looks great you did a great job!!! Yes it seems that we can never have enough power!!!
Did you used a zinc cromate primer? or what kind of primer did you use?
I will definitely have to remember the type and color of the paint!!! Great Job!

Re: YOUR AIRBOAT
Kem 400 is the paint name. I don't remember the color but it was off the US Gov color chart. Its the same paint used by GoDevil and Custom Flats (Boatright) boats in Louisana. Its not specified for water use but has held up well in the past. The beauty of the product is no primer necessary. Wash, prep, and paint.

That looks like it has to be in Florida!!! Looks like some of the places that I use to put my boat in at!!!! Off US 41 (Tamiami Trail) before alligator alley was completed... Man you talk about nice placed to take a boat... I have to admit I sure miss the glades!!!! Once you go and ride their you are hooked and fall in love with the area!!! I love Texas but for riding a Airboat Florida has it beat hands down!!! We have to get a group together sometime and go down their and maybe someone will invite us to one of the many camps they made in the Glades... I have heard from a friend of mine that lives in Miami the State Annexed a lot of land into Everglades National Park!!! His camp was demolished and just left!!! Their are still a lot of camps in 3A though.

Hey Bigblock Are those Florida Mallards or are they Regular Green Head hens???

I think we need to figure a summer time date that the FL boys are having a get together and make a trip there! I know I'd like to ride there and see the differant types of boats and such.
It could be a carmotor barge convoy !!!!

Maybe we can show em some barges on the HILL !

The only Problem I see that once you guys see the difference you will want to move their. I have had many memories I went to places growing up that we had to take Machetes to cut down limbs to gain access to an area I knew no one had ever seen before! Now much of that area has been sold and subdivided!! especially on HWY 41 West close to Naples Florida... But the Area between 20 mile and 40 mile bend still has a lot of swamp left!!!

Re: YOUR AIRBOAT
I just don't have the urge to move, been to FL a few times and its just not me at all, but I'd LOVE to run the glades/swamps once...
For those cutting down trees to get somewhere, the car barges just drive right over the trees.
