Does anyone know how many miles it is. From 192 to lone cabbage on the river, time and approx. fuel usage? Or lake Washington up to 520 Thanks Keebo

Agree... We rode this for many years.. From Lake Washington boat ramp to the Cabbage is right at 1 hr 15 min (give or take a few depending on wind, what trails are open, what side of the lake you go around, etc..) I run a 470 with a 25 gallon tank. I would leave full and get back with over 1/2 a tank... For me, about 11 gallons.. BUT, this is with several stops headed back. Running dry at Moccasin Island or Wolf Creek, running dry at the OakHead, and playing around..

WOW!!! That is amazing fuel economy. 2 1/2 hours running on 11 gals = less than 5 gals/hour. My 0-540 drinks about 10 gals avgas/hour. In mine, Florence to oak head and back drinks over 10 gals. I have a 30 gal tank and wouldn't feel right without an extra 5 to run Cabbage to Holly and back. I Am

My 0360 gets about 6 gl/hr if I stay out of it. Hit dry or black stuff it hops up to @8

only 3 on board lone cabbage to the oak head along the fence thru the big marsh my barge used between 11 and 15 gallons. In that trip ran some dry not much. Its a 14 ft deep cm Hull with a vo540 on it.

I run my boat just on plain no faster. My buds cant seam to go that slow.

The longest ride I ever did was hwy 50 to the oak head and back.- ran out of fuel withing sight of hwy 50 had to dump in it a few gallons other wise used 35 gallons

I also usually cruise just on plane. Interestingly, I have not found the gas mileage to change much doing that vs a medium cruise. Now deep to shallow to dry or with and against the wind, changes the mileage drastically. But not so much speed in the same conditions.

And my plugs foul a lot faster if I go slow (1600) vs a medium deep cruise (2000).

50 to possum and back is about 15 gals no matter how I drive. Cabbage to oak head is another 15. With my 30 gal tank, to run from 50 to the oak head and back, I'm wouldnt even be within sight of paw paw when I ran out!!

Just on plain for me is 2200.
like i said a Car motor hull originally 8 x 14 3/16 bottom deep sides.

That was on a 350 dd but Dan ran his 540 ultralight hull with about the same millage. from 50 to oak head and back

Perfect conditions. Couple of inches water and no wind I cruise under 1500 at 22 mph. It doesn't seem to use any gas at all on those days. But that almost never happens(unless I go to Kissimmee. Most days on the St. John's it Is blowing in my face on the way there, and on the way back(it seems). The water seems to go from none at all to flooded to the trees in a day and it takes me 15 gallons to go anywhere!!

I know my motor would perform better on a 13-7.6 ultra light. But for now my hull will do don't have the money or time to change anything.

Oil foul only and typically the the front 2 jugs when going slow. If I can run it at 2200 or faster for 20 minutes solid they clear out. But that can only be safely done loaded and into a stiff wind. Most of the time if I give it that much gas it ain't safe. Even dry that is just too fast for me and plugs are cheap.

Motor has 154hrs since Wally re-built it. I take it to him annually for a "check up". He looks at exhaust pipe color and plugs, checks mag drop and runs it a bit. He tells me it is right so I have always trusted that it is. If there are improvements that would help, I would be willing to look into freeing up the hull, bigger mesh cage, driver etc. (non motor stuff)...... But as long as Wally says the motor is right I won't mess with it.
