Lycoming Parts in Alaska

Postby Klondike Jim » Wed Jul 20, 2011 3:27 pm

Running a Lycoming O-540 A1A5 engine on my airboat. In need of parts, i.e. 2 Cylinder Assy, 2 Base gaskets for jugs, 4 to 6 valve cover gaskets, 4 inter-cylinder baffles, and maybe a cowling. Anyone know where I can find these parts here in Alaska? Really need the 2 cylinder assy and base gaskets before I worry about the rest of it. Thanks

Jim,
Check the following places for parts;
Ak Aircraft Engines, retail shop.
Reeve Air Motive, all your gaskets can be found here.
Servicable cylinders could run $1000-$1200 includes piston installed, gaps done, pin included, ready to replace. Turnkey from the sounds of it.
BJ's aircraft cylinders too.
Condition of the servicable cylinders will determine price.
