Bmail sent this to me, thought it would be interesting for some of you guys and gals. Keep in mind some simple facts, moose in AK trample and hurt more people then bears do by mauling, occasionally a moose will even kill somebody. When this aggitated moose gets loose, it has every possibality in the world of trampling the guy trying to help him. Bud

Dangerous situation right there ! I think the one saving grace was the moose was about exhausted and didn't have much attack left in him. Somebody got real lucky.

My Dad was a Veterinarian. He told me one time that animals know when you are helping them. I saw my Father work on some of the meanest dogs. He rarely had to put a muzzle on one.
I don't know anything about Moose. But maybe this one knew ?

Cool video.

My two cents ..... There's a fine line between brave and foolish and I think that guy crossed it . I'd have got the spectators out of the way then put a round into the moose's brain pan with a .300 Win Mag before I cut the chain . He got lucky because the moose was exhausted , I've seen the damage two moose can do in the bush fighting , if that moose had any game left in him the guy would have been a dead man .
