Hey I bought my boat last year and had a blast on it for most of the summer. Had a few guys tell me to join the NAA but they couldn't tell me if the group has lobbyists and if the group does what do they lobby for. Seeing if anybody could give me some incite.

Yes they do have lobbyists. They do the normal stuff. When the Goverment trys to pass laws that impact the boaters and sportsman they help protect us. I am not the one that has all the infomation on what they do. The cost is well worth joining.

We need to have everyone on board now so we can keep from loosing our rights and freedoms. It is always harder and more costly to get them back after they have been taken away. Just ask the bikers that have been trying to get the helmet law removed.

Also look at what is going on in Florida. Do not think for one min. that some of our state goverment people are not already thinking about ways to get the boats and people off the rivers in our state and watching Florida to get their ideas.

If we have enough members and the gov sees that we are a strong group that stand united they are not as likely to try things. This is what happens when membership drops off and they think that a group is not strong enough to fight for their rights.

Me and Bailey had a great time today! Reminded us why we joined, because everyone out there are the best group of people to associate with!

We are glad you came up also. :bounce:

That was one fun day. We continued to have fun even after the event ended at supper and beyond. The group is one of the most fun bunch that I have been around ever.
