Youth Rockport Texas Ducks

Postby Hogheaven » Mon Oct 26, 2009 12:15 pm

If there was any time that is the toughest yet most fun, it is watching kidoes try to connect with ducks. Saturday- the opportunities for them were immense. Sunday not as many birds, but there were several shouldove, couldove , wouldovessss. LOL. Gets real tough watching a bird(s) come in and then here 3-6 shots and not a bird fall.
But... the smile it puts on them when they do finally connect make every thing worth while.

Saturday Zac ended up with his limit. and a tough, lesson on why the one bird that swam and dove, then finally lost, would still count towards his limit. and Milo- took 3 shots all morning, a little reluctant after being knocked to the ground from recoil on his first shot of the day... He did muster up the courage to down a Pinny with his last shot. Not many Redheads down yet, but we had several groups of teal, wigeon, pin-tail. Continuous flights all morning.

Sunday- we saw a lot less action. Looked good for the first 45 minutes then it dragged on with a bird here, and a bird there. Still some work to be done on accuracy but that will always come the more they get out.

Heres a couple pics from the weekend.
