Wadin' Boots

Postby Quackcephus » Mon Apr 19, 2010 11:22 pm

So what do y'all wear when y'all are wade fishin' the coast... lace up boots, wadin' boots, wadin' sandals or just an ol' jacked up pair of tenni-runners.

This is what myself and others I fish with wear for the most part. http://www.simmsfishing.com/site/flats_sneaker.html

Patagonia makes a similar design as well. Both are pricey but worth every penny if traveling long distances in mud. The less expensive shimano/hodgman neoprene zip up boots are pretty comfortable but don't usually stay zipped. Chota also made a great neoprene boot that laced up but haven't seen them in a few years. I'd get something inexpensive to see if you like wading and upgrade later. Its good having a backup pair around anyways.

Have used lace up style past two years and with good luck. I use my wife's brad machine to replace corroded lace hoops and boots will last. Used to buy the Hodgman boots but tear on reefs.
