Sports Authority, Sears, Montgomery Ward and K-Mart

Postby SWAMPHUNTER45 » Mon May 02, 2016 7:18 am

Just a little something for you to think about regarding the history of major retailers and their decisions to remove firearms from their stores product line.

So back in the early 1990's a talk show clown named Rosie O'Donnell pressured K-Mart to remove guns from stores and they cowered to her liberal assault and complied. Montgomery Ward and Sears at some point also scaled down the Sporting goods sections and stopped selling them even after many years of offering models that bore their corporate names engraved on the receivers. A few years after that Sports Authority announced they were removing guns from 90% of their stores.

I find it ironic that all of these once successful major retailers are now either out of business, failing or in Chapter 11 as we ponder their decision to remove guns from their stores. Yet in a direct comparison of their competitors who elect to retain or promote lawful firearm sale these businesses grow, profit and succeed in the same market demographic.

When a store quits selling guns and ammo, they quit getting my money period!! I went into target in West melbourne when they first opened looking for a box of shot gun shells. Found out quick they didn't nor would they sell guns or ammo. Walked out not spending a dime and havnt been back since and won't let my wife shop there either.
Compromise is for those that cant get it done!!

Anybody who won't sell me a box of shotgun shells or some .22 hollow point must not want my business. I can get the rest online.
