Excalibur vs razor and staggered vs even spaced

Postby Ccarter » Mon May 14, 2018 9:53 pm

I have someone wanting to buy my prop so I figure there wouldn't be a better time to try something new. I have a 4 blade 80"ex 710hp 750tq bbc 572 and 2.3 belt drive on a 17' dyna marine Revo. Just wonder what the main difference is between the Excalibur and razor x and if the difference going from evenly spaced to staggered if only for the noise, any performance difference?

The Excalibur is great down low and mid range. The Razor X is great for top end (speed). I would say you would be around a 9 blade 82" Excalibur for your set-up and think you would love it if you want a great all around prop. I spin a 84" 4 blade Superwide Whisper Tip and I've tried many different pitches. I can say I've stuck with staggered pitch on it.with a 2° difference. To me it's smoother, pushes better and has a great sound.

You have 2 different pitches on your 4 blade stetup? I didn't know you could do that.

Yes I have 2 different pitches on my 4 blade. You can stagger any blade as long as you have a even amount of blades.
