68" 3 blade whirlwind on 220 gpu

Post by Diamondjphotography »

How would a 68" 3 blade whirlwind prop do on a single mag 220 gpu?

Not a lot of feedback from folks on this question Thomas. That can't be good. Do you know anyone that's ran this prop on a 220?

I have no experience with this prop or motor, but if I were to guess I would say that a 3 blade would be a little to much prop for a single mag 220. I would think a 2 blade 70 inch blade would be a better setup, but again, that's just a guess. if you go for it, let us know how it works. :D

I ran that same setup on a 220. It ran pretty well. I think I had it on about 13 in the marks on the hub.

I couldn't fit any larger in my cage on the boat and a 2 blade couldnt crank enough pitch into without hitting the alternator on my setup.

You need to be specific on which 3 blade. I ran a 3 blade excaliber. Plus theres wider blades that you wont be able to run.
Please be specific for a better feed back

i always read on here that a paddle prop will snap the crank on a gpu. i'd like a 3 blade for mine. should run alot smoother than the 2blade 70'' whirlwind i run now.
