Gso 480 saber prop or razor x blades

Post by cody_spencer » Tue Jun 17, 2014 11:39 am

My dad has a strong running 480 and wants to put a 8, 9 or 10 blade saber or razor x prop on his boat. Does anyone have any recommendations on which one I should get him for his birthday

I've ran a 80" 8-blade Saber and it was okay... I bought a staggered hub and a 9th blade and it was a lot better all the way around on my 480. Every boats different tho... If I had to do it again I probably would try a straight 9. I know a few people running them on C/M's and they work very well. As far as Saber or Razor X that's gonna have to be your choice... Lol!

The RazorX also have a core inside the blades which will help dampin some of that gearbox noise and makes them stiffer......just a thought

Razor X for sure if that's the way you are going. Great prop at the best deal, I run them.

Yea your right Bronson ! My staggered 9 Saber was $4250. And that wasn't even the most expensive blades!
