Razor X Hub from Whirl Wind Propellers

Post by WhirlWind Propellers » Fri Feb 27, 2015 8:28 pm

We have a new complete hub system available for the Razor X propeller blades.

:: The Razor X hub is available in 3, 5 and 6 blade configurations for 66" to 74" diameters.

:: The hub plates are finished with a cool carbon fiber graphic that also serves to keep your torque specs visible whenever you need them.

Image

:: The new Razor X™ hub is highly engineered, with blade blocks made from strong and light billet aluminum.

Ms. Patti,
I hope you didn't mind me asking the price of the new hubs. I'm about to build a rotax 583 boat and will be shopping for a prop soon. What are your recommendations? I know several guys are already running these motors but I'm not sure what prop they're using

Anyone in the market for a new 6 cylinder AC prop is doing themselves a disservice if they're not considering the Razor X. Awesome prop across the board. I wouldn't trade mine for anything else available.

For a direct drive Caddy, I'd first recommend the 4-blade Excalibur in 72" diameter ($2290). The Excalibur gives you all the same great light-weight instant thrust performance of the Razor X, but also gives you the low-end and mid-range performance of the wide-blade propeller styles.

The equivalent in the Razor X style is the 6-blade 72" diameter ($2405) for the direct-drive Caddy.

Sincerely,
-Patti

So at 3000 RPM, the 4.3L V6 is probably putting out somewhere between 140 to 150 HP. My first choice would be to recommend the 3-blade 68" Excalibur ($1790) or if you wanted to upgrade only your current Warp Drive blades, the 68" Razor X blades, a set of 4 would be $1320 to run in your current hub.

Sincerely,
Patti

Thanks! I'm working on some motor upgrades that will hopefully get me closer to 200 HP. Sure would be nice if these props could be spun up a few hundred more rpm's

Patti are you guys going to be doing some like this hub for the larger props. You guys just got done refurbing 8 blades for me and although I haven't got to see the finished blades yet (really excited to see how they came out). One of those sweet looking hubs would sure look good on my new boat
