351w Prop?

Post by MB608 » Mon Mar 16, 2015 9:58 am

I'm rebuilding a 12' laser with a 351w and 2.12:1 rotator gearbox, the engine is pretty new with forged pistons and RV cam running 350hp. The set up I have can fit a 74in prop. What prop do you guys think would be best for this boat?

Since I'm limited to a max of 72-74" would it be better to run the saber/razor x blades instead of the wider blades?

What did you end up putting on for a prop?
351w pushing a 79" whisper tip ex , 2.68 ballistic on a 14' laser
1600 vw dd on a 12' sportcraft
the best time to fish is thru a hole in the ice

Im going with a 74in 3 blade falcon. Should have a ton of low end push.
