WhirlWind Propellers at the 2015 Broward Airboat Show

Post by WhirlWind Propellers » Sat Mar 21, 2015 11:29 pm

Day 1 of the Broward Airboat Show 2015. Good weather, good people, lots of great boats. Here's a few highlights that I managed to snap a few pics of today.

We introduced our new 2-blade hub for Whisper Tip blade styles
- 3 lbs lighter
- threaded steel inserts
- carbon graphics
- 3D design
- Same great through-bolt design
- Blade angles engraved on hub

The Forward Swept proof of concept propeller was on display. Watch for a write-up coming soon.

Schmidt Aviation is offering a great show special on a 2-blade Whisper Tip with Armor Coat and the new style hub.

Sure wish I could go the show, Patti. That new forward swept prop is fascinating me. What an interesting approach to controlling
sound signature at the same time that you're increasing both low and high speed push. :glasses7:

This might have been discussed already but it looks like on your new hub (maybe all your hubs?) that you can remove the prop from the engine without taking the blades out. That's nice I can't do that with my sensinich too bad cause once you have it right I hate to take it off. It looks cool too thanks for continuing to evolve and test the market with new ideas.

Maybe Tony can talk Sensenich into copying that idea from Patti. :rebel:

Removal of the prop without having to repitch is just not a selling point. If the prop needed to be removed weekly then I could see it. It takes me about 4 minutes to install and Track Blades and torque Bolts. I'm not being negative just the way I see it.

That's somewhat understandable. However, my personal situation is that my boat stays outside in a fenced locked in area and the prop must come off after each ride and be stored in the shop. Helps me out, do doubt. Too many props are getting stolen from boats being stored outside and I don't wan't to give my money to some junky!
