Lycoming o360 Angle Valve Prop?

Postby GatorBoy77 » Wed Apr 08, 2015 5:22 pm

I currently have a 70" whisper tip narrow on my o360 angle valve motor. I'm looking for more push.. Any suggestions on some props I need to look at? I was considering a 70" 5 blade warp drive or a 68" Ngq. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I had the NGH on my old 12' full deck & ran dry no problem and it was nice and quiet. Boat ran in the low 70's. All around great prop.

I have a AV0360 also with a 70''Q, pushes great on low end and cruise, not a good top end prop. Some say the NGQ performs great from low end to top end.A warp is not a good low end prop.My next prop will be a EXCALIBER 4 blade bow tie 70''. LSX1

I may have to give the Ngq or Q a try. I have always had warp drives before, so not exactly sure what to expect.

Warp drive I have one on my hunt boat has the snap to get you going on dry Plus u keep your speed. But you could ask 100 people what prop and they will all say something differnt. Honestly depends on the boat. not every boat will run the same with a prop. You can have to of the same boats and one may run better with one prop and one may run like shit with the same prop. Don't understand why but they do.

I have 68 Cypress water walker. I've tried them all and to is my all around favorite. If your looking for push that's the ticket. I hear they will meet you at lake Kissimmee and let you try before you buy. Call them and check it out. PTR34 On here Terry deals with sense niche props and he will do the same thing.

Ended up going with a 70" Cypress series from Water Walker. Pushes great and runs dry with two men. I have only tested it briefly but seems like its going to work well. Figured I would share and a big thanks to Andrew at Water Walker.

It's actually spinning up around 2800 rpms at 6.5 degrees. Should I take pitch out and spin it harder?

2800 on the trailer? Mines at 8 deg but I'm not Shure if the motor was level 100% or not but the boat was on the ground not on trailer when I set it at 8 deg I'll check it with the motor level and see how many degs is actually in it....
