Razor X Staggered, NGQ or Warp Drive
Razor X Staggered, NGQ or Warp Drive
Looking for recommendation for my set up. I have a 2004 13'6" Diamond back with a so540 AV DD no gear box. It has a Water Walker 72" prop on it know and am looking to switch it up. I did search this forum and my head is spinning trying to figure it out. I am looking for good low end push and good cruise speed with some snap on the low end. Out of the three in the subject line which one would be the best. I'm new to the airboat scene so please be nice and yes I have thick skin.

I have a 2015 DiamondBack 13'x7'6" with Fuel Injected 540 AV and I have tried the 72"Q, 72" NGQ,72"6 Blade Razor X,72"5 Blade Vortex and what I have found is the Sensenich 72" NGQ out preformed all the other props for my type riding in the water to running the hill. The low end to mid-range push on this prop is unbelievable compared to all the other props I tested.Just my opinion!!!

I have a 72" NGQ, and the only thing I had to compare it to was a 3 blade H and a warp drive. Like previously stated, the NGQ in my opinion was much better than the warp and H, great low end push, planes out super quick, and good mid-range. I can't comment on the Razor X.

Try a 4 blade sensenich Alpha series, Find a dealer to let you try one. I have a 74" NGQ and love it but I'm going to try there new 4 blade when able.

Whirlwind's Excalibur is another prop to look at. Not much has been said about them but they perform well across the whole RPM range.

I'm about to try a 72" 3 blade Excalibur on mine. You might call Patti @ Whirlwind. She had a lot of good information and might help you make a decision.

I have a 4 Blade Excalibur @ 74" in a Bowtie Hub. I'm extremely pleased with its performance. Thrust comes on strong at lower rpm and does not have the "warp like" sound common with similar props.
