Sensenich Ngq or q
Sensenich Ngq or q
Curious to hear people opinions on the differences in the two props, and what would work best on my boat. I've got a 12 richochet with light metal work and a 200.

NGQ , 1 1/2" wider with better bottom and mid range.

I Agree, I have run both and the NGQ is the better push prop

I have an ngq on my 220 gpu and love it. The best pushing prop I have ever used I did own a q on my old boat it was very good but the ngq is way better. If you are local I'll take you for a ride pretty good convincer.Adamball1 wrote:Curious to hear people opinions on the differences in the two props, and what would work best on my boat. I've got a whirlwind super snapper now so either one would make a huge difference in sure. What kind of clearance from the transom does the ngq call for with the fins?

The blades actually curve towards the front of the boat and the winglets end up about where the straight blade tip would be
clearance is about the same

There is more clearance needed I believe I had them cut mine a bit they do it all the time I think it has about a 1/2" off the tips. Still has metal leading on tips.flaborn wrote:The blades actually curve towards the front of the boat and the winglets end up about where the straight blade tip would be

Re: Sensenich Ngq or q
My observations have been Q blades push good and can really put some speed up. At idle they have a slight whistle.
The NGQ pushes like a beast, early props had winglet bonding issues but that's been fixed. Ran one set at 76 on a heavy boat and 74 inches on a lighter hull. The 74 set up seemed as fast as a Q but it was not my boat and we did not have the GPS to validate speed.
Really cant go wrong either way. If you want to spin more RPM then the Q may be the better choice.
New engine should be on run stand tomorrow evening Gary. If all goes well may try to get with you on Monday Outlaw!

I went from a 72 water walker to the ngq thought the water walker pushed until I tried the 72 ngq it was like a whole new engine.Rich863 wrote:Kno it wasint part of the question but I'll tell ya that a 68 sig made a big difference on my pe90 470 conv
Re: Sensenich Ngq or q
What did you out the 72 on?
Re: Sensenich Ngq or q
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the 6cyl ngq is bigger then the sig but the 4cyl ngq is the same size as the sig. If correct my point is I could see where you could tell the diff between the bigger ngq over the sig I would like to try a 68 ngq and compare it to my 68 sig
