Should we assume the proto type is now the JR blade, or did the new JX blade make more thrust than the R?Waterthunder wrote: We tested 3 different blades back to back to back with the same air temp, humidity and corrected altitude - the proto type blade made more thrust in a 3 blade configuration than the 4 blade R did
Same question as above: is this the 3 blade JR or JX outperforming the 4 blade NGR?Waterthunder wrote: The real interesting part is the proto 3 blade and 4 blade NGR had the same pitch to stall at 5,500 so that gives you an idea how much more efficient the new blade is. It uses less area than a 4 blade but the same pitch and produces more thrust
In each scenario, the 3 blade proto outperforms a 4 blade counterpart.
Does anyone have any feedback or experience with the J series to comment on this performance information?
Has anyone actually lost a blade and gone to a 3 blade from a 4 blade setup?
