Burgeron off the fwc

Postby lilly-Pad » Wed Dec 06, 2017 8:31 am

I was reading that Burgeron is off the FWC commission. Wonder if that will be good or bad for the Glades and GladesMen ? :fishing :stirpot: :dontknow:

There's been rumors of him running for governor. Resigning his seat would be a first step.

With him gone we got a much better chance of getting another bear hunt :thumbleft:

Definitely A better thing for us that he will be gone. He wants to run for Governor but I don't see a chance in hell of him beating Adam Putnam. You are 100% correct mojoe. The only reason we didn't have a bear hunt this year was because of him. You have to remember he is in politics and will do or say what ever gets him higher up.

If Ron Bergeron is in the race for governor, it will be just like the last presidential election. It’s not about who I’m voting for, its about who Im NOT VOTING FOR!

Gary Nicholas (son of Jack, and professional golfer), is slated as 1 of the folks replacing him. I believe their are a couple of seats being vacated.

I believe that I have heard that Mr burgeron has a felony conviction on his criminal record
That is why he was a game commissioner and not a game warden
I don't think you can be a governor with that status on your record
I could be wrong though

All depends on what kind of felony .............. certain felonies can be expunged from one's record as others can not.....

Ron Bergeron never got caught. He just let other people take the fall for him. From what I know he doesn't have a felony on his record. We can always find out because it's public record.

When you get that much money it becomes a power thing.

Funny none of the real blue collar hunters and fishermen get selected it is always some millionaire, aspiring politician or corporate head.

They should have a random and unbiased draw off of the hunting and fishing licenses and remove this political bull****. Put real working people into these slots.

Talking about running for Governor and Adam Putnam. He is the Commissioner of Agriculture. He is allowing Big Sugar to completely destroy our water ways with contaminated run off. Lake Okeechobee is being polluted and so is the St. Lucie river. Last year there was a green slimy substance that was everywhere in Stuart and Ft. Myers.
I do not think he will be the best choice for the future of our children to enjoy this beautiful state , which I love.

Bentonquick that is false information, that is nothing but Liberal agenda. Big Sugar is not the problem with our water and what caused the algae blooms. Big Sugar was a problem at one point in time back in the 80's. Now they operate in a totally different fashion. I'm not even going to get involved in what the problems are and where they are coming from because I would be writing for at least 3 days. There isn't a politician the is 100% worth a crap but I can tell you Adam Putnam is the MUCH better choice.

Thanks for your input ladyblackwater but I have lived in South and Mid Florida my whole life. (69yrs.) I have seen with my own eyes the destruction Big sugar, Golf courses and leaking septic tanks have done to our once beautiful waterways. And our present Fl. legislation is allowing it to happen with impunity. A few years ago THIS legislature tried to change the laws on the high water mark boundaries. Thankfully Fl. sportsmen stood up to them and the law did not pass. Hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas.

Bentonquick the Everglades and the education of the Everglades is what I do for a living so I know exactly what is going on. I have lived in Florida all my life and I'm a 5th generation gladesmen. My uncle wrote books on the EVERGLADES and called it to the tee that we will be dealing with what we are dealing with now, back then. It's not Big Sugar it's the golf courses (which is the biggest polluter) Army Corps and we as home owners that do way more damage than anyone else. It really bothers me when people don't put the blame where the blame is do. The blue green algae had nothing to do with Big Sugar. The problem came from North of the lake. This problem will never stop until we put a cleaning Reservoir North of Lake O and flow water the way water was intended to flow. Bottom line it's all a political game. God Bless and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Sugarcane producers control the politicians decisions pertaining to water use and pollution (Excessive use of fertilizer and pesticides) in South Florida.

AND ............ As Blackwater pointed out everyone wants a lush green yard as well.........

If A/C had never been invented Florida would still be a pristine place to live.....................not so much oil would be leaking from the boats ....lol :stirpot:
