The Cajun Navy will be there as well. It is a great organization.

I can tell you as an LE Airboat SAR opperator thats worked just about every flood since Katrina if you don't have a tasking number that you will get your Ass sent home like my team did in South Carolina and it coast us a bunch of money and they had no Airboats at all and the Fire Department we were sent to was begging us to stay they really needed us but the state still sent us home all of us what a waste of resource
and time

Anything but Airboats Don't do well in flooding situations because of all the debris in the water like plastic bags and other things like that we saw that a lot when we worked Katrina all this stuff in the water gets sucked up in the intake of the jet drives and out boards don't do well either its nice that you are offering but now a days if your not LE or Fire rescue or a member of a known Search & Rescue organization they wont let you get involved dew to liability and lack of rescue training and most importantly you have to have a Tasking number to even get your foot in the door

I think its BS with the Billions of dollars that are spent , wasted, and made off these hurricanes to not pay airboat operators just as good as guys who pick up tree branches after the storm.. yeah, do it out of the goodness of your heart for sure I get that, but if a collective effort is put in people should get paid just like first responders who will come from california to make a shitpile of money off this storm

During Harvey last year it was just regular people in their boats picking up people from their flooded homes. I would have done the same after being picked from our house but couldn't get to the airboat. Also, it was unexpected so I think they let anybody help. And people weren't asking permission, they were just doing.

Dam, I wish everyone well but Sniper is spot on! The powers to be can't even grasp what the needs are without an advisory board. The advisory board also can't grasp the need. The few that actually know what the area needs are so far down the chain of command there voice is never heard.

Organized Disaster relief is a Joke and Fema stands for something other than what they claim!

I went out to SE Texas last year after Harvey, had no Tasking Number and even shuttled sheriff deputies a few times. I didn’t get paid for anything and wasn’t looking to. I guess maybe that’s where the Tasking Number comes in.

They were taking all the help they could get and were very gracious.
