D-Brewster -"Livin Legend-Outlaw Fund"

Post by buckshotbob » Sun Jul 20, 2008 10:13 pm

A fellow airboater - Southern Airboat Member - Livin Legend & Outlaw - One of the best Southern Boys you'll ever meet needs our help!!! Dusty is getting ready to have gastric by-pass surgery. It has come down to Dusty having this surgery. Unfortunatley there is no insurance and probably little help this hard workin family man has. He is a good man and a good husband/father. I am working on trying to get a Paypal account set up for him, in the meantime I wanted to post some kind of forum to try and get some attention and ideas going. I have had a lot of phone calls about Dusty and I have asked everyone to hold off until I can get things situated. Below are some posts that I wanted to share. Let's all get together and make this successful for a brother.

Seminole Wind:
No gifts please.....I would rather see some kind of fund set up to help out with Dusty's medical bills associated with the gastric by-pass procedure.
I know Dusty would never ask for help (and he shouldn't have to) but I ain't to proud to ask when it comes to our beloved buddy.
I don't know anything about settin' up paypal accounts or big fund drives (hint hint Olf) but I can pass the hat.
I'm hopein' some body smarter than me will pick this ball up and run with it.

T-S-Jr:
i DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT CUMPUTERS BUT THE BEST THING IV HEARD IS WE ALL NEED TO DO SOMTHING FOR DUSTY ANYBODY THAT CAN SET SOMTHING UP IT WOULD BE AWSOME DUSTY SURE DOSE ALOT FOR THE AIRBOAT COMUNITY AND I KNOW HE HAS DONE ALOT FOR ME HE IS PRETTY MUCH THE MAN WHO SHOWED ME THE WAY INTO THE EVERGLADES AND AIRBOATING ,BUGGIES,HOG HUNTING,AND ALOT LOT MORE IT WOULD SO COOL FOR US TO PULL THROUGH ON THIS FOR HIM SO IF SOMBODY KNOWS HOW TO DO ANY PAYPAL STUFF LIKE SEMINOLE WIND HAD SAID IT WOULD BE HUGE!!!!!

LostCracker2:
Buckshot...let's have an auction for Dusty with Seminole as the money taker....thats a present that money can't buy.... I have two NRA whitetail and mule deer framed pic's....worth $150.00 each I will put in the pot....I'll put in the first $100.00 for the

OUTLAW FUND

Grant:
I haven't had the pleasure of knowing Dusty for very long but I consider him a friend.
I will do what I can to help.
We gotta get him healthy... So someone put it together and let me know what I can do!!!

Rolltide0540:
niki and dusty let me know if you guys need help with anything me and my family are there for you guys.

John C:
Same here, Who ever takes the lead on this one let me know. I'm in. If big D is willing to take this on he will get lots of support here. Anything we can do to help let us know.

alumitech520:
dusty and nikki, let me know what if anything we can do to help out.it would our pleasure.

Sounds like a plan i would like to see him around for the long haul. Had a couple of family members have the bypass and it worked good for them!

I am game for Dusty just let me know when its set up why dont we have a fund raiser raffle off some items I have stuff I would donate for that like seat shells, cusions, covers , mags ,I might even throw in a single shot 22 hornet if I get a new one this week like I am hoping for but well see. I figure we all have enough shit lieing around we can have one hell of a yard sale as well ALL funds go to brewster. Just some thoughts

Hey, going to his web store and buying some shirts will also help support the family too.

Dusty, I pm'd you Laura's cell number. She's able to offer you some medical advice if you need it. Sometimes them doctors get confusing! And she can help make some of that medical crap easy to understand. She does for me anyway!

I don't think we have had a more important "cause" To support since this forum started ! This man is one of the reasons we are all so close on this site. Has there ever been any $hit started on this site that he was not right in the middle of ? No ! In ever one of our cause's he has always been the biggest duck in the puddle to support it. I think we should give this our top priority and make it happen ASAP. I know times are hard, but this is a very special situation, If you can spare anything please help. For all his bull$hit this man is to proud to ask himself, it's time for his friends to step up and help our brother out ! We love you Dusty and our prayers are with you.

I know I ain't home a lot, but the times I am home and met with Dusty, its been good. That first time at ALs I new he was a good Dude. I got a pretty new mossberg 500 shot gun that I will give to an auction for Dusty. Dusty if you need it ask!!!! between me and my brother we got ya. These days you don't meet to many good people, but it seems like this site is full of them. Seminole or Buckshot when ever you decide to do this get with my brother and he will get you the gun.

KR, we'll all be discussing the best way to help them at the driver's meeting at Loughman's on Sat., Aug. 9th. Until then we won't really know what Dusty and Nikki are going to need.

Wish you could be there man! Stay safe and come home SOON!

I've got some parts to donate for the garage sale, including a nice big wood prop for a belt drive.

That's what I call continental dedication. Guess you decided against the Thunder engine, and opted for bypass to gain the HP.
All joking aside, we have a buddy down here who runs a charter service. He tried diets, exercise you name it.. nothing worked. Had the surgery, looks and feels great. If you ever wanted to speak with him i'll get you his #.
Your making the right decision.
