We rode all night out in Middle Feild and surrounding areas. On the way back to the hill we stopped where the C-2 jump over is and I did it I sunk my boat all the emotions running high. 8 guys, a shovel, a come along, and about 2 hours and we got her afloat.

You scare me, I airboated for about 15 years, quit for health reasons. Started again last year, took me awhile to get used boat going right due to two major emergency surgeries. Now I'm going as much as I can afford, ($$$, av gas). Still havn't sunk, (sliding sidewise in early days and busting up a stump dont count, were you looking thru a beer filter too?), I think I'll just stay in skinny water at all times.

Man that sucks. From your post it looks like no one got hurt and that is good. I guess there are over a hundred ways to sink an airboat. I just sunk mine for the first time a week ago today. I cant say I wil stick to skinny water at all times times but I will be on plane and going forward at a nice clip whenever possible. Also wont have three full grown passengers on a little boat anymore.

dont feel bad i have had three differnt people sink thier boat leaving the hill in my back yard thank god its only about 3maybe 4 feet at the time

That really sux. I rolled my boat about 5 months ago. Ive almost got the new done now. I can't wait to get back on the river though, 5 months is a long time to wait.

Yes it was right at the C-2 jump over
my wife kinda slipped when trying to jump off the boat and kinda did a belly flop on the front of the boat. But no serious injuries. The only thing lost was a 12 pack of soda and the wifes shoe. Ohh ya and a half a tank of gas. And I'm glad I had the sense of mind to shut the engine off at about the same time as I heard the prop slap the water once or twice.But I deffinently learned a leason

Well the first thing I did wrong was i bought a boat with a 13 inch transom. But that is no excuse for what i did. I was with 2 other boats and they pulled up on a little peninsula and on my first pass by I wanted to just pick out my spot. I went on down the river a bit and turned around well when i went to get on plain it took too long because of excess wait and didnt have enough room to turn. So I tried to turn and keep on going straight but hit the embankment and my a$$ just went down and went down quick. I wasnt being stupid and I wasnt drinking, I guese it was just a newbie mistake.
