a small problem

Post by cntry141iq » Sun Jun 07, 2009 11:16 pm

Hey guys I wasn;t gonna say anything but several folks got on my ass about it so here it is ...

I am going for some work on my heart tomm morning really early. Yeah I know who woulda thought I had one right. LOL anyways they found it a couple ok weeks ago when I fell over one morning and the race has been on ever since. It is supposed to be no big deal I guess unless it is you they are doing it on ... least that is what I told them. If all goes well I may be back on tomm evening if not well it could be a little longer. See ya'll soon ... I got a good feeling on this so no gloom and doom just a heads up if you get the symptoms go get checked out .. cause it will get you and I can tell ya you aint never felt pain before so don't mess around with it but if you think you are tough well I know how you can find out .. Later ... Cntry

Thanks guys .. they gave me a nuclear test friday morning injected radioactive dye and did x rays for 15 min utes then gave me an injection that was definetly not fun ... my heart slowed to 32 beats a minute they said .. cant prove it by me LOL I left town for a while. Then they xrayed again for about 15 minutes. They are doing a cath and what ever else they decide spur of the moment said they don't know till they get in there. But I am in good hands I am sure. They wouldn't let me ride my airboat this weekend because I would be too far from help if bad things happened. They said they know I have a "huge abnormality" whatever the hell that means. I should be fine ... like I said they aint nervous. Gotta get some rest later guys ...

Good luck bud. Thoughts and prayers for you. Yep, your right about the pain when you have the attack, I have been thru 3 back surgeries, 1 neck, hernias, shoulder, intestine blockage, but the pain from that heart was HOLY &^%$, I couldn't breath, talk , or anything, and was very happy to see the rescue when they got here. They ran me thru the mill with the test and catherders in the groin (sp) and all, and for now its just alittle meds. to deal with it. So hopefully all yours will come out ok. Keep us posted. Prayers are being sent from here cntry.
And I know you got a couple of nurses cheering for you too.
Heck, Laura almost drove over there last friday.

From the skinny I've heard (or overheard on phone conversations) what you are getting is serious, and life-saving, yet at the same time very routine and done hundreds of times a day.
So no worries.

Just follow the doc's orders and get back out on the water soon.

matt.

All will be well, cath, open artery, install stents to keep it open, home tomorrow. The big hope is not any heart muscle damage.
Caths are getting routine, I got three additional stents on may 26, I was second in line, the same Dr did 17 caths that day.
