Letter from the FWC....

Postby blackpowderscout » Mon Apr 10, 2006 11:40 am

Checked my mail this morning and found a letter from the FWC informing me of the change in their definition and requirements for mufflers. Along with the letter was a brochure titled "Protect Florida's Recreational Airboating Heritage". Inside it outlines some strategies for reducing conflicts and has three stickers on the back, one of which is the Airboater Code of Ethics.

P.S.....the opening says "our records indicate you are, or have been the registered owner of an airboat in Florida". So I guess they are screening the sysytem to find us and get the word out.

So did I...it is just referring to muffling devices...does not
say anything about a flag @ 10' above the boat...

The flag requirement is not in the FWC rules, it's in the legislation.
Please check a new post I am about to put up which asks for help in getting our bill to the House floor.

Thanks
