Re: question for guys from the glades
I haven't been out to Ellison's camp for almost 20 years, since I was little. The trees were so thick we had to cut our way out of there. Been out in that area since 1979 and have never met them, just heard stories.

I was out by Ellisons a few months back. They have been doing some work to it. I own 9 1/2 Bill Vaughn's old camp.

Chester Is'nt that the old man who had that little blue race style boat called "blew By You" or however it was spelled out. I remember the seat on that thing was mounted really low to the bottom of the hull basically sitting on the stringers. I remember thinking that was the coolest thing i've ever seen. May be wrong though

Re: question for guys from the glades
strokinandsmokin, do you have any pictures of the camp, if so could you post some of them. bobby ellison passed away 3yrs ago, his son butch ellison still floats around down there, and his son clifford still lives down there, betsy is one of the daughters and bobs wish was he wanted his ashes spread over the glades. i'm doin some research to see if some of the old timers know of bob or ran with him or his brothers. we'd like to make a trip down some time and do some riding and grant his wish. not much of the family still even have airboats anymore, butr thanks for all the feedback.

Re: question for guys from the glades
rbrady450, I knew a Bobby Ellison that lived in Miami back in the seventy's. He was into Full Track Buggies back then. He would be probably 55 or 56 years old today. Sounds like the same family.
