Wow, had no idea it was that bad, I assumed it was 4 or 5 feet at the worst. So sorry for you losses. If you guys need any help once the water has receded let us know.

I was down at Scorpion Airboats today and it is really a total loss. Pictures or words just can't explain how bad it is. A levy/road broke away and all the water from Northern Suwannee County come down thru the woods into Southern Suwannee County and unfortunately Lee and Judy's business and home was directly in its path. I worked with EOC Tuesday from 8:00 am up until midnight and I've seen countless homes under water. My thoughts and prayers go out to each and every one effected by this storm.

Im sorry to hear this, I know you guys have been getting some awful rain this past week or so. You southerners are as tough as nails and I know you will rebuild bigger and better. Hope you had some insurance to help, but that would cover only a small part of the loss. Good lluck to you. Bud & Jan

Hello everyone and thank you from the very bottoms of our hearts. We lost every thing but we have our lives and our family. There are MANY families just like us here. I know every one remembers Katrina and 'Orleans and the same politics are running here. We listened to all the "collections" for the families-but nothing if you were one of the victiums that needed help. The most that was offered in Suwannee was go to the fairgrounds and they would give you a meal and a cot. I called Red Cross,Suwannee Valley Economic Council, and the same story was "FEMA has nto declared our area a "disaster" so no funds or help from the government and until that happens we are just out of our homes and life. We needed clean water, ice, a pillow and blanket would have been great. NORM FROM GTO AIRBOATS(EVERYONE THERE) have always treated us with dignity, respect and love. He offered a spot IN HIS AIRBOAT SHOP so we could build our airboats. but we never thought they would offer another airboat company to work in their shop-Those men are our heros-Thank you SO much for your generosity.
It will take another week and we'll be up and running again and brother could we use the work! Remember Suwanne County in your prayers-we are covered with closed roads, sink holes, and flooded homes. It is a voting year and we need people who are in our government who works FOR the People-not the newest best scam to take in money they have no intention on sharing with the needy.

Sincerely,
Lee, Judy and the Scorpion Crew

Thank everyone for there well wishes. Update: The place is back above water. Everything is a total loss. Insurance adjuster says sorry but they will not be covering anything. We almost have our back room finished for mom and dad to stay in. Still looking for insulation for walls or tile for the shower. We will be starting cleanup on property this week. We are going to be able to work in shop but the house is unliveable. Please go to Lee and Judy Hancock on facebook. I have set up a site to take in donations for them or just send any donations to: P.O.Box 126, O'Brien, Fl. 32071. or call us 386-935-4949.

most people are always shocked when they find out insurance companies are only in it for the money.

I just heard on the news that FEMA is offering help in like 11 florida counties ... so you may want to check for a FEMA office in that area .. the county offices should be aware of it if assistance is available there.

Flood insurance is set to double in price ... after congress just got done with it

good luck
Don't waste your time ... it is the only thing you can't get more of
.. if it accidentally looks like I gave advice please ignore it .. and notify me immediately
