flashlight\headlight? flywheel? spare prop and hub? comealong? anchor? paddle? whiskey? tango? foxtrot? if I had a larger boat i'd have another motor tucked up in the deck.

I do actually carry a squeeze bulb for a spare fuel pump and I may have some extra hose.

I've I think I heard it said that if you don't carry spares you'll be just fine and have no breakdown. Or if you only carry a fuel pump you'll never have a fuel pump go bad.

however, if I only ran an aircraft boat i'd never carry anything, as we all know, they never fail. waterpumpers on the other hand...

The best insurance is a true friend that will come out at 3:00 AM to get you. All the rest is secondary in my openion.

Machette to chop your way out if you are stuck.... or broke down.
Extra oil in case you spring a leak.
Rope to pull out stuck people or yourself
Tarp in case you break down without shade.
Sun block
Extra water, and beef jerky
Water proof matches
Benadryl in case someone on board gets an allergic reaction.
Sugar pack
Extra bulbs for your running lights
Waterproof case for your phone
Batteries for your GPS
Inflatable girl friend in case you get lonely! .......snicker!
Put most of it in a bag that comes in and out of the boat at one time.

Nope, I aint jinxin' my self,,,

Just as sure as I told ya'll what all I carry in my boat, someone might comment that that I take too much stuff along,,,

Then I would start to second guess myself, and start taking things out,,,

Then the problems would begin, and I would need that very thing that I left at home,,,

Lets just say I carry alot of stuff,,, Thats ALOT, LOT, LOT,,,

Airboat Cowboy Mike was with me one day when I hung it up in a Log Jam, and I broke out the Come-a-Long and other tools and winched myself out of a tight spot,,,

Mike said "Dang, Cowboy,,, I believe you have did that before" lol

Yep,,, More times than I want to remember,,,

I'll probably think of a few more things to add to it as times pass,,,

Radtech lives about 35 miles away,,, Jim and Rob about 25, and
Emmitt (Big Dog)and Mike about 60 miles away,,,

Any of them would come at a moments notice, but thats a long haul and alot of time to wait,,,

So you had better Be Prepared if you are gonna ride alone,,,

Wet Dreams Too,,,

Definately a couple ratchet straps. I've used them to hold down motor w broken mounts, broken cage bars and if you need to get pushed in they help hold the boats together. A can of foam that fills wall cracks will temporarily fix a small hole for a small time. Phone charger that you can hook directly to battery. If car motor w hei ignition a spare hei module is a must! They will fail whenever they want and it is an easy fix.

I Keep:

Basic Tools (screw drivers, vice grips, pliers, sockets, ratchet)
Couple Extra Spark Plugs and Socket
If you have a warp drive, baking soda and super glue can fix a decent sized hole in your blade - JB Weld as well.
Oil
Piece of Sandpaper and Small can of brake clean
Extra belt
Tarp
Rope
Bigass knife
Sunscreen and bug spray
Phone Charger

Keeping too much stuff on board for a small fulldeck glades boat ruins your fuel economy and performance. Some of the big boats can hold a garage full of stuff but the small fulldecks just can't.

Your best safety is riding with a group or having people know your general area if you're alone. Having a reliable friend that can help is worth more than anything else.
